Weight Watchers help Goodwill
Weight Watchers and Goodwill are holding their fourth annual Suited For Success campaign through April 16.
Weight Watcher members will donate clothes that no longer fit them to help disabled residents start new careers. Everyone is urged to bring their old business clothes. For more information, call Goodwill at 597-1107 or Weight Watchers at 432-6683.
Group collecting used cell phones
Media Partners for Pets, a nonprofit group that helps rescue animals, is collecting used cellular phones to help raise money for its animal adoption program. Phones will be refurbished and sent to developing countries.
Recycling old phones, rather than throwing them away, ensures a cleaner and safer environment. Phones can be mailed to Media Partners for Pets, P.O. Box 81222, Las Vegas, NV 89180. For drop-off locations, call: 617-3323
Seminar planned for Sunday
Those interested in learning about hate crimes may attend a free panel discussion sponsored by the Anti-Defamation League and Congregation Ner Tamid 1-4 p.m. Sunday at the congregation, 2761 Emerson Ave.
Topics will include how to detect hate groups, how the FBI investigates these crimes and many other related issues.

Irving will be honored at church
A get-well celebration for Prophetess Amanda Irving will be held 3 p.m. Sunday at the Greater Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church, 1915 Lexington St.
Irving is recovering from a recent stroke, and the gospel staff at KCEP radion would like to express their gratitude for her community involvement, including reaching out to prisoners and ex-offenders since 1978. She implemented a prison ministry in several Nevada cities.
Her guidance and leadership was integral in creating the Moments of Miracles Outreach Shelter for Ex-Offenders in 1986, which then paved the way for Outreach Shelter II to open.

Auditions for Shakespeare's

The Comprehensive Cancer Program
