Southwest Gas Corp. Chief Executive Michael Maffie recently sold 20 percent of his holdings in the Las Vegas-based company, according to a recent filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Maffie sold 15,508 shares March 2 at prices ranging from $20.90 to $21.10 per share, grossing $325,000, the filing indicated. The sales left Maffie with 62,160 shares of Southwest stock.
Maffie previously sold 4,318 shares of Southwest stock on Jan. 12, raising $87,000. However, Maffie purchased 21,454 shares just four days later at an undisclosed price.
Through a spokesman, Maffie said the sales were related to personal financial planning, and were part of an effort to diversify his assets.
