A Las Vegas company has signed on to franchise 10 Garfield's Restaurant & Pub outlets in Southern Nevada.
Cameron Enterprises Inc., Las Vegas, has been contracted by Eateries Inc., Oklahoma City, Okla., to build the casual dining restaurants, which will compete locally with Chili's and Applebee's restaurants.
Garfield's offers a menu of hamburgers, steaks, sandwiches and pastas and has about 60 restaurants nationwide. Eateries also operates the Garcia's Mexican Restaurant chain.
Jim Telaghani, a Denny's restaurant franchisee in Southern California and a major shareholder in Cameron Enterprises, said the first Garfield's would open in Las Vegas in November.
