UNLV’s Davis to compete in NCAAs

UNLV track and field junior sprinter Michele Davis will be the Rebels' lone representative at the NCAA Indoor Championships this weekend at Fayetteville, Ark. Competition is scheduled for Friday and Saturday.
Davis will run in the 200-meter compeititon. Her declared time of 23.59 ranks her ninth of the 17 athletes competing in the 200. L= SU's Muna Lee boasts the top qualifying time in the field, clocking 23.04= . Davis' personal best in the 200 came at last year's NCAA Outdoor Championsh= ips where she posted a 23.14.
Michele Davis: Davis finished fourth in the 200 and seventh in the 40= 0 at last year's NCAA Outdoor Championships, but has never competed at the nation= al indoor meet. She was named the Mountain West Conference's Athlete of the Y= ear after winning a league-record three individual titles in the 60, 200 and 40= 0 meters, and is the squad's only current All-American. She has not lost a rac= e or heat in the 200 this season, through four competitions.
