A look at the late Dale Earnhardt's record at this week's NASCAR venue:
SITE: Atlanta Motor Speedway. Hampton, Ga.
RECORD: 47 starts, nine victories, 27 top-five finishes.
MEMORABLE MOMENTS: In 1980, Earnhardt got the second victory of his career - and the first of five for the season - in the Atlanta 500, and he went on to the first of his record-tying seven Winston Cup championships. In 1996, he set a speed record for a spring race by averaging 161.298 mph while winning Purolator 500. Last year, he got the last of his record nine Atlanta victories by taking Cracker Barrel 500 after starting 35th.
