Rebels win last two games in Texas event

UNLV picked up a pair of wins in the final day of the Aggie Continental Express Baseball Classic at College Station, Texas. The Rebels opened Monday's play with a 7-1 victory over Indiana State and capped the day with an 8-4 win over Texas A&M. The wins improve UNLV to 8-11 on the season.
The Rebels' Brent Johnson went 3-for-3 with two RBIs in the opening game against the Sycamores.
UNLV's Courtney Hall was the story in the second game, pitching a complete seven-inning game with no earned runs and seven strikeouts. UNLV returns home this weekend for a three-game series with Air Force to open the Mountain West Conference season. Friday's game begins at 3:05 p.m.
