SALT LAKE CITY -- Nevada State Bank's parent company, Zions Bancorporation of Salt Lake City, today said it received and accepted the resignation of Chief Financial Officer Dale Gibbons.
W. David Hemingway, a veteran executive at Zions, will serve as interim CFO until a permanent CFO is named.
Gibbons was arrested by Salt Lake County Sheriff's officers last week on charges of possession of methamphetamine, dealing in material harmful to a minor and endangering a child. Police said the arrest was prompted by complaints from neighbors about late-night parties at Gibbons' home in the suburbs outside of Salt Lake City.
Gibbons said he is innocent.
"I cannot effectively execute my obligations and duties to the company with criminal charges pending," Gibbons said in a statement.
