Screening
The Ubuntu Video Club presents the film "La Petite Vendeuse de Soleil," which celebrates the resourcefulness and resiliency of Africa's people, followed by a discussion moderated by Nigerian educator and writer Dorothy Ukagebu, at noon Saturday at the West Las Vegas Arts Center, 947 W. Festival scheduled
"OUTFest 2001," an event benefiting the Gay and Lesbian Community Center, will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Phoenix, 40 N. Annual battle
The nonprofit Worldfolk Foundation's third-annual Battle of the Bands festival continues at 7 p.m. today at GameWorks, 3785 Las Vegas Blvd. South. Local bands will perform. The festival's finals will be July 7. Call 220-6043.
Dickerson performs
