Camp helps lift child’s self-esteem

A 10-year-old boy, the youngest of four children, is involved in Big Brothers Big Sisters. He loves the outdoors and camping.
His "big brother" also loves the outdoors, and the boy enjoys his time with him.
The boy's father left the family when the boy was 9 months old. His mother says she has looked to Boy Scouting to help with her children's self-esteem and moral values.
"I've been rearing the children by myself for the last 9 1/2 years," the mother says. "We are involved with our church and Big Brothers and Sisters. These organizations offer such a positive atmosphere for the kids."
The mother says she would appreciate any consideration from the Sun Camp Fund for helping her son attend Boy Scout camp.
