UNLV men's golf star Scott Lander has helped the United States' team to a 6.5-1.5 lead over Great Britain after the first day of the Palmer Cup at Baltusrol Golf Club in Springfield, N.J. Lander teamed with Georgia's Nick Cassini to defeat the Great Britain & Ireland combo of Graeme McDowell and Justin Kehoe, 4 and 3 in Wednesday morning's fourball match. In the second round, Lander and Arizona State standout Jeff Quinney topped Philip Rowe and Kyron Sullivan, 5 and 3, in a foursome match.
