Letter: Time for action, not just talk, on air pollution
Thursday, June 28, 2001 | 8:35 a.m.
In regard to Gov. Kenny Guinn's decision to appoint the Clark County Commission to deal with air quality problems, I have lived in the valley for six years and I have seen, felt and read about the declining air quality. The air has made my family and numerous friends of mine sick with breathing problems such as bronchitis and pneumonia.
With all the recent bad statistics reported in Las Vegas, one would think that our elected public officials would all pull together so that we can at least breathe deep and receive federal highway funds. I say, quit talking and studying and shut down those who are responsible!
