Letter: Mr. President, please stay home
Monday, June 25, 2001 | 9:18 a.m.
Our fearless leader from a toy ranch in Texas is galloping across the world's stage waving his prescription for the ills of Earth and its inhabitants. If he would look behind him he would see his legions aren't following. He doesn't ask his countrymen what they think, let alone his country's allies and friends abroad.
Isn't it time for someone to tell this character to stay home? He will do world cooperation less damage back here paying off oil and industrial barons for their election favors. He has already done about all the social damage to this continent for them he can; now he is taking on world affairs. No wonder the world turns sour on our leadership. And this guy is using our tax money for his travels.
