Cancer-stricken dad needs help to send girl to camp
Friday, June 22, 2001 | 3:54 a.m.
The father of a 13-year-old girl has cancer and can only work part time. The family can't afford to send her to camp.
She went last year and enjoyed being with her friends. Her family expressed their appreciation for that opportunity and hope she can go again this year.
Sometimes simple things, such as toasting marshmallows and singing around the campfire and spending time around camp counselors who are positive role models are the memories that a child will carry with her through the rest of her life.
By joining contributors to the Las Vegas Sun Camp Fund you are making a difference in a child's life.
