The Nevada Arts Advocates awarded four high school graduates $500 scholarships to go toward their education in the arts.
The winners were Serena Peques, Las Vegas Academy, for dance; Jessica Barth, Boulder City High School, for drama; Jason Simms, Carson High School, for visual arts; and Erin Hostman, Pershing County High School, for music.
"All of the applicants demonstrated remarkable talent and dedication," Roger Peltyn, NAA board of directors' president, said. "We are proud to help these students realize their dreams and keep the various arts alive for future generations."
