Support group offers tips for families
Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center will host the Celiac Disease Foundation's Las Vegas Connection Group 2-4 p.m. Saturday in the hospital's auditorium, 3186 S. Maryland Parkway.
The support group will bring together celiac patients and their families, dietitians and physicians, and offer information, special recipes, food samples, literature and tips for successfully living with the disorder.

Retired executives to help young ones
The Las Vegas Chapter of Service Corps of Retired Executives will present its next "How To Really Start Your Own Business" workshop at 9 a.m. Friday at the Foley Federal Building, 300 Las Vegas Blvd. South, Suite 1100.
SCORE counselors will cover marketing, cash flow, the business plan and a check list for licensing, permits and other requirements.
The $45 cost includes a 292-page reference manual and a workbook to help analyze business idea. For directions, more information or to pre-register, call 388-6104.
CCSN will host floral design show
Community College of Southern Nevada's Ornamental Horticulture program will host "Weddings for the Millennium," a Floral Design Show and Trade Fair 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday at CCSN's Henderson campus, Building C, Room 133.
Keynote speaker Ralph Null will explain innovations and current fashion in floral design for weddings and parties. Null is an emeritus professor at Mississippi State University and has been in the industry for more than 35 years.

Sine Die Galas scheduled on Thursday
The Nevada Trial Lawyers Association will hold Sine Die Galas 5:30-9 p.m. Thursday at Bally's, celebrating the adjournment of the 71st Nevada legislative session.
In addition, the Galas will provide a venue for presenting the association's top awards. These include: Lifetime Achievement Award, Trial Lawyer of the Year and Consumer Advocate of the Year. For more information, call Cynthia Carter at (775) 883-3577.
Learn the wonders of the night sky
as you view this month's constellations and discover some of their meanings during "The Wish I Wish Tonight" program scheduled 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the Cottonwood Cove Amphitheater.
