Julia Clark Cates
Julia Clark Cates, 79, of Pahrump died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born April 27, 1922, in Walters, Okla. A resident for 30 years, she was a school secretary.
She is survived by her husband, Clovis L.; two sons, Clovis A. Cates and Robert Cates, both of Pahrump; one sister, Marie Richardson of Colorado Springs, Colo.; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Gladys 'Lenora' Dailey
Gladys "Lenora" Dailey, 66, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 12, 1934, in Pangburn, Ark. A resident for one year, she was a retired waitress.
She is survived by her husband, Elvin D.; one son, Tommy Dailey of Bath, Pa.; three daughters, Teresa Long of Batesville, Ark., Sherrl Wilhide of Allentown, Pa., and Carol Martin of Las Vegas; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Raymond Paul Damiano
Raymond Paul Damiano, 46, of Las Vegas died May 22 in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 31, 1955, in Miami. A resident for 10 years, he was a waiter and maitre d' at Bice Restaurant.
He is survived by his companion, Bonnie Damiano, one son, Arthur Damiano, and one daughter, Viansa Damiano, all of Las Vegas; his mother, Marjorie Damiano of Miami; and two brothers, Barry Damiano of Tampa, Fla., and Richard Damiano of Miami.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Monday in Woodlawn Cemetery. Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., is handling arrangements.
Barbara Nell Diebold
Barbara Nell Diebold, 66, of Boulder City died Wednesday in a local hospice. She was born Aug. 5, 1934, in Hickory Ridge, Ark. A resident for 21 years, she was a retired waitress and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by her companion, Don Bain of Boulder City; three stepsons, Roger Diebold Jr. of Monrovia, Calif., Thomas Diebold of Mundelein, Ill., and Gary Diebold of Glenview, Ill.; two stepdaughters, Lonara Andrews of Hendersonville, N.C., and Cassandra Fudge of Phoenix; two brothers, Manuel Kemp of Hot Springs, Ark., and Thomas Kemp of Cuba, Mo.; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 4:30-7 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday in Grace Community Church, 1150 Wyoming St., Boulder City. Graveside services will be 11:30 a.m. Monday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Buchanan Blvd., Boulder City.

Joseph Michael Fazzi
Joseph Michael Fazzi, 70, of North Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born March 18, 1931, in Pennsylvania. A resident for 15 years, he was a drummer and an Air Force veteran.
He is survived by one son, Joel Fazzi of Las Vegas; three daughters, Andrea Barbuti of Las Vegas and Lisa Weight and Jill Fazzi, both of Utah; one brother, Vince Fazzi, and two sisters, Laura Lomma and Theresa Lingobardo, both of Scranton, Pa.; and eight grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 4 p.m. Saturday in Calvary Community Church, 2900 N. Torrey Pines Drive. Burial will be private. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Armando Juan Federico Sr.
Armando Juan Federico Sr., 91, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born July 13, 1909, in Argentina. A resident for six years, he was a classical pianist.
He is survived by one son, Armando Rodolofo Federico Jr. of Las Vegas; and two daughters, Barbara Jean Turner of Los Angeles and Joyce Federico of Las Vegas.

James Martin Graham
James Martin Graham, 68, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 3, 1932, in Huntsville, Ala. A resident for 1 1/2 years, he was a retired motivational speaker for a training and consulting firm, a real estate salesman and sales manager, co-author of "Managing for Greatness" and "The Great Managers Secret," was a member of the Detroit Connection, Michigan Publinks, Kiwanis Club, Toastmasters, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Foresomes Golf Club, National Association of the Self Employed, American Society of Professional Consultants, Booker T. Washington Business Association, Thursday Luncheon Business Association, Detroit Convention and Visitors Bureau, Detroit Chamber of Commerce and Detroit Life Underwriters Association. He served on the advisory board of Alexander Hamilton Insurance Co., the board of directors of the Michigan Associat ion of Private Schools, Ferndale Medical Career School, Payne/ Pulliam School of Trade and Commerce and the Detroit Metropo! litan Orchestra.
He is survived by his wife, Vida; two daughters, Viesther Ware of Detroit and Lynn Duerod of West Bloomfield, Mich.; one son, Greg Graham of Farmington Hills, Mich.; and 10 grandchildren.

Sherwin E. Hollander, 62, of Henderson died June 6 in a Massachusetts hospital. A retired self-employed sales representative, he was born April 17, 1939, in Brooklyn, N.Y.
He is survived by his wife, Sara Miller Worsley Hollander, one daughter, Susan Unger of Mansfield, Mass.; one son, Kevin Hollander of Pittsfield, Mass.; two stepdaughters, Dawn Caradonna of Petersboro, N.H., and Cathy Gallagher of Pittsfield; one stepson, Charles Worsely of Weymouth, Mass.; one brother, Wallace Hollander of Las Vegas; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Donald E. Kaup, 68, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 8, 1933, in Bloomington, Ill. A resident for 12 years, he was a retired plumber, a Korean War Army veteran and a member of Plumbers and Pipefitters Union Local 58.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon; two daughters, Patricia Kaup of Littleton, Colo., and Susan Kaup of Phoenix; two sons, Michael Kaup of Colorado Springs, Colo., and David Kaup of Boulder, Colo.; one brother, Lou Kaup of Denver; one sister, Colleen Whalen of Bloomington; and 10 grandchildren.

John Frank Korreckt, 43, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 10, 1957, in Indiana. A resident for many years, he was a prep cook at the Aladdin hotel-casino.
He is survived by one son, Joshua E. Korreckt of Morocco, Ind.; one sister, Roberta Roberts, and one stepbrother, Ivan Bridegroom of Indiana.

Alverness Mattingly
Alverness Mattingly, 78, of Las Vegas died May 20 in a local care center. A retired machinist for McDonnel Douglas and a World War II Army veteran, he was born Jan. 15, 1923, in Muncie, Ind.
He is survived by one daughter, Jade Gates of Sarasota, Fla.; one sister, Elsie of Reno; one brother, James of London; and three grandchildren.

Ruth M. McLennan
Ruth M. McLennan, 101, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local care center. She was born April 19, 1900, in Lillestrom, Norway. A resident for nine years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one daughter, Mary Jane Johnson of Las Vegas; one sister, Hedvig Breillo of Lillestrom; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

Joseph A. Menart, 67, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 17, 1933, in Cleveland. A resident for 21 years, he retired from the MGM Grand hotel-casino in 1999 as fire safety director and was an adjutant and Vietnam War veteran in the Marine Corps.
He is survived by his wife, Emiko; two brothers, Ronald Menart of Cleveland and Dale Menart of Atlanta; and two sisters, Eileen Scharsu of Mentor, Ohio, and Loretta Hmiel of High Point, N.C.
A memorial service will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd.

Robert Edward Oster, 57, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 22, 1943, in Tewksbury, Mass. A resident for 12 years, he was a hotel security officer and an Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Oun; five daughters, Barbie Oster of Las Vegas, Tamrin Oster and Robyn Fraser, both of Milford, N.H., Darlene Oster of Manchester, N.H., and Dorene Oster of Canada; one son, Eric Oster of Las Vegas; and seven grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 1-5 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday in Full Gospel Church, 1580 Bledsoe Lane. Graveside services will follow at 12:30 p.m. Monday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Buchanan Blvd., Boulder City.

Dr. Ben Owen, 86, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 13, 1915, in Grand Rapids, Mich. A resident for 36 years, he was a retired state government dean of students, first dean of students at UNLV and a counselor for many years and a World War II Navy veteran.
He is survived by one son, Daniel Owen of Los Altos, Calif.; one brother, Ray Owen of Ludington, Mich.; and five grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Zorayda; four daughters, Shelley Unkelbach of Las Vegas, Jane Gavin of Little Compton, R.I., Denise Martin of Alexandria, Va., and Deborah Gonzales of Tampa, Fla.; three sons, Jack Wolford of Virginia Beach, Va., Richard Wolford of Alexandria and Jon Wolford of Springfield, Va.; one brother, Albert Wolford of Houston; one sister, Marion Holmes of Austin, Texas; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 4 p.m. Saturday in Palm Chapel, Eastern. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
