Letter: Hospital backers should ante up
Thursday, June 14, 2001 | 10:54 a.m.
I heard proponents of a new Children's Hospital say that it would be very profitable in just a few short years.
If this is true, why don't these same people form a corporation and invest their money in such a profitable venture?
Wasn't the recent big federal tax cut supposed to free up money for this very thing? Was the tax cut a hoax or are the hospital proponents exaggerating, or perhaps both?
