Disabled American Veterans has donated two vans to the Las Vegas Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center to transport area veterans to and from the center.
The donation was made possible through a collaboration of DAV's national organization and local chapter, along with Ramada Express Inc.
DAV officials said the free transporation services will begin in the Henderson area, but will expand as additional drivers volunteer.
Las Vegas or Henderson veterans needing transporation to the medical center should contact Henry A. Redding at (702) 636-3000, Ext. 4441.
