The defeat of the proposed children's hospital came as a total shock to me. The mark of a great city is in how it cares for its children, its elders and those who cannot take care of themselves. In spite of having more lights than any city in the world, the low voter turnout shows that in many ways we are still in the dark.
Shame on you Las Vegas, shame on you.
