Letter: D-Day takes on a new meaning

On June 6 we celebrated D-Day, which marked the beginning of the end to Hitler and Nazi Germany. June 6, 2001, shall also be remembered as another "D-Day," when the Democrats regained the majority in the Senate and turned the rudders of the ship of state to the middle from its previous starboard course.
