MEMPHIS --- Three games, three straight one-run losses.
Welcome to the road trip from hell for the Las Vegas 51s.
After losing 8-7 in 15 innings on Saturday night and 1-0 on a two-out bottom of the ninth home run by Darrell Whitmore on Sunday, the 51s once again blew it it in the bottom of the ninth, dropping a 4-3 decision here on Monday night at AutoZone Park.
Whitmore was the hero for the second straight game, lining a one-out bases loaded single off reliever Al Reyes over the head of right fielder Brent Cookson to drive in Shane Andrews with the game-winning run.
Las Vegas snapped its 19-inning scoreless drought in the first inning on Cookson's RBI double off starter Alan Benes which drove in center fielder Chris Prieto.
