Camp would help only child spend time with other kids

Camp would provide a 5-year-old only child with an opportunity to spend time around other children, her mother says.
That would be especially helpful, her mother says, because the girl doesn't have anyone to play with in the neighborhood, and her daughter needs a chance to develop social skills.
Sometimes it's simple things, such as toasting marshmallows and singing around the campfire and being around camp counselors who are positive role models, that are the memories a child carries with her through life.
