Ticketmaster to use new technology at company casinos

Friday, June 8, 2001 | 10:49 a.m.

Los Angeles-based Ticketmaster announced the signing of a multi-year deal with MGM MIRAGE involving six of the Las Vegas company's properties.

Ticketmaster said it will offer its "Print My Own" ticketing technology for 13 shows at the Bellagio, Mirage, MGM Grand, Treasure Island, New York-New York and Beau Rivage in Biloxi, Miss. This system allows users to log onto Ticketmaster's web site from home, purchase and print out bar-coded tickets to such shows as "O," Mystere, Siegfried & Roy, Danny Gans and EFX.

Ticketmaster also said it will install kiosks throughout MGM MIRAGE properties that allow customers ordering tickets by telephone to pick up their tickets 24 hours a day. Ticketmaster said it plans to soon offer guests of MGM MIRAGE hotels the ability to purchase tickets to MGM MIRAGE shows from their hotel rooms.

Ticketmaster is the nation's largest ticket retailer, selling more than $3.2 billion in tickets annually. The company has been a long-time business partner of MGM MIRAGE.
