Pick Up Stix sold to owner of T.G.I. Friday’s

Pick Up Stix Inc., which operates five Chinese restaurants in Southern Nevada, said its owners have agreed to sell the business to Carlson Restaurants Worldwide.
Carlson operates the T.G.I. Friday's chain.
Both companies are privately held. The purchase price was not disclosed.
Carlson Restaurants Worldwide, headquartered in Dallas, said it plans to keep Pick Up Stix as its own casual-dining brand that serves "Americanized Chinese" food.
Other Carlson Restaurant subsidiaries include: CRW Internatinal Business, Emerging Brands and Domestic T.G.I. Friday's.
Pick Up Stix's corporate office and existing senior management staff will remain in San Clemente, Calif. The company employs 1,000 people.
The company began in 1989 with a Stix restuarant in Laguna Niguel and has grown to one Stix Pacific Grill (the original's new name) and 51 Pick Up Stix restaurants throughout Nevada and California.
