Atlanta, LV legal firms merge

Atlanta-based employment and labor law firm Fisher & Phillips LLP has opened its ninth office, this one in Las Vegas, after merging with Las Vegas labor law firm the Ricciardi Law Group. The new company will operate under the name, Ricciardi Law Group, a partner in Fisher & Phillips LLP.

Mark Ricciardi, the new firm's attorney and managing partner, said the merger will allow the company to "expand its practice areas to include business immigration services (including H-1B issues) and ERISA plan drafting and counseling."

Jim McDonald, Fisher & Phillips spokesman, said the new company, which currently has three attorneys, plans to hire another 8-10 lawyers within the next year.
