Marta Aponte
Marta Aponte, 63, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospice. She was born Sept. 26, 1937, in Puerto Rico. A resident for three years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Jose; three daughters, Isabel Aponte of Las Vegas and Luz Torres and Carmen Aponte, both of Chicago; one sister, Aberta Santana, and two brothers, Andreas Santana and Tino Santana, all of Puerto Rico; and six grandchildren.
Services were scheduled at 12:30 p.m. today in Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St.
Elvie Arberry
Elvie Arberry, 89, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born April 29, 1912, in Mount Holly, Ark. A resident for two years, she was retired and was a homemaker.
She is survived by five daughters, Mary L. Ritchie of Mount Holly and Bertha Dickson, Florine Arberry, Mae R. Arberry and Jearleen Walker, all of Las Vegas; two sons, Floyd Arberry Jr. of Ladonia, Texas, and Michael Arberry of Las Vegas; 23 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 8 a.m.-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.
Grant 'Del' Blanchard
Grant "Del" Blanchard, 78, of Henderson died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 31, 1922, in San Jose, Calif. A resident for 45 years, he was an aircraft mechanic at Nellis Air Force Base for 24 years and a World War II Army Air Corps veteran.
He is survived by three daughters, Sandra Farnsworth of Las Vegas, JoAnne Blanchard of Murray, Utah, and Beverley Jones of Henderson; five sons, Ralph Blanchard of West Jordan, Utah, Gary Fisher of Clayton, Idaho, Raymond Blanchard of Las Vegas, John Blanchard of Henderson and George Blanchard of Lehi, Utah; one sister, Esther Gray of Panguitch, Utah; 29 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 11 a.m. services Friday in the LDS Sun Valley chapel, 3100 Sun Valley Drive. Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
The family suggests donations to the American Diabetes Association, 2785 E. Desert Inn Road, Las Vegas, NV 89121.
Sam J. Camerano
Sam J. Camerano, 65, of North Las Vegas died Monday in North Las Vegas. He was born April 17, 1936, in Chicago. A resident for 10 years, he was a retired Chicago firefighter.
He is survived by his wife, Sylvia; two daughters, Marianne Hunnel of Clermont, Fla., and Debra Giglio of Chicago; six sons, Sam J. Camerano of Glenwood, Ill., Ed Camerano of Aliso Viejo, Calif., Joe Camerano of Naperville, Ind., Robert Camerano of Dyer, Ind., David Wayne Dreyer of Chicago and Nicky Camerano of Las Vegas; one brother, Louis Camerano of Las Vegas; and nine grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.
The family suggests donations to the Nathan Adelson Hospice, 4141 S. Swenson St., Las Vegas, NV 89119.
Maria F. Chuha
Maria F. Chuha, 87, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 13, 1914, in Winnipeg, Manitoba. A resident for 20 years, she was a retired foreman in the communications industry.
She is survived by two sisters, Phyllis Miller of Bellflower, Calif., and Patricia Lokkesmoe of Georgetown, Calif.

Priscilla A. Denison
Priscilla A. Denison, 62, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 4, 1938, in Elko. A resident for 24 years, she was a PBX operator at University Medical Center.
She is survived by three sons, Gary Mills, Jonathan Mills and David Mills, all of Las Vegas; four daughters, Penni Young of Little Falls, N.J., Laurie Shelton of Tacoma, Wash., Heather Mills of Stephenville, Texas, and Sarah Denison of Las Vegas; one brother, Robert Long of Reno; two sisters, Laura Hudgins and Alta Hobbs, both of Las Vegas; and 14 grandchildren.
Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Yvonne Ann Dike
Yvonne Ann Dike, 67, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 18, 1934, in Bakersfield, Calif. A resident for 24 years, she was a retired casino cashier.
She is survived by her husband, Don; two daughters, Kathleen Latham of Bass, N.C., and Dianna Sullivan of Las Vegas; two sons, John McInerney and Robert McInerney, both of San Diego; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 2-8 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Services will be 9:30 a.m. Friday in Palm Chapel, Jones. Graveside services will follow at 11:30 a.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Buchanan Blvd., Boulder City.
Donna Gomes
Donna Gomes, 51, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 29, 1949, in Watsonville, Calif. A resident for 12 years, she was a slot ambassador.
She is survived by one daughter, Nickie Gomes of Las Vegas; two sons, Clifford P. Gomes Jr. of Tacoma, Wash., and Michael J. Gomes of Scotts Valley, Calif.; two sisters, Janet Rogers of Paso Robles, Calif., and Patricia Burke of Santa Cruz, Calif.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Roger Glen Grayson
Roger Glen Grayson, 56, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 16, 1944, in Fort Worth, Texas. A resident for 15 years, he worked for a limousine business at a casino.
He is survived by his wife, Betty; three sons, Brian Glen Grayson, Christopher Joel Alyn and Nicholas Mercer; two daughters, Laurie Alyn and Julie Velez; his stepmother, Billie Jean Leach; and four sisters, Jana Sue Stukanov, Frankie Atkinson, Cathy Franklin and Donna Grayson.
A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Calvary Chapel Valley, 7150 W. Oquendo Road. Valley Memorial Crematory, 4855 W. Desert Inn Road, is handling arrangements.
Fred Monroe Hammond Sr.
Fred Monroe Hammond Sr., 80, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born April 18, 1921, in Oklahoma City. A resident for 24 years, he was a retired technical writer in the aerospace industry.
He is survived by three sons, Fred Hammond Jr. of Stockton, Calif., Jerry Hammond of Las Vegas and John Hammond of Newland, N.C.; one sister, Anita Gordon of California City, Calif.; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.
Irene Hollwin
Irene Hollwin, 82, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born July 23, 1918, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 25 years, she was a retired casino worker.
She is survived by one daughter, Carol Keesler of Las Vegas; one son, Kenneth Nagy, and two sisters, Julia Kallen and Barbara DePrizio, all of New York state; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Palm Chapel, Eastern. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
Lorraine Helen Jolly
Lorraine Helen Jolly, 80, of Henderson died May 24 in Henderson. She was born June 17, 1920, in Union, Iowa. A resident for 30 years, she was a keno writer.
She is survived by one daughter, MargaretAnn Bodyfelt of Cloverdale, Ore.; two sons, Thomas Westerling of Battle Ground, Wash., and Ronnie Mahurin of Woodburn, Iowa; one brother, Carl Peterson of Earlham, Iowa; one sister, Irene Mulaskie of Elmwood Park, Ill.; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Rose Dominican Hospital chapel, 102 E. Lake Mead Drive, Henderson. Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., is handling arrangements.
Blanche Jones
Blanche Jones, 85, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 15, 1915, in Monroeville, Ala. A resident for many years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by eight daughters, Mary Hardaway, Adela Thomas, Emma Lawrence, Daisy Burkett, Brenda Whitlow, Sally Wynn, Peggy York and Annie Jones, all of Las Vegas; 27 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Harrison-Ross Mortuaries, 2071 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Greater New Jerusalem Baptist Church, 1100 N. D St. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Stella Kemp
Stella Kemp, 70, of Henderson died Sunday in Henderson. She was born Aug. 20, 1930, in River Grove,Ill. A resident for 40 years, she was a retired teacher.
She is survived by three sons, Will Kemp of Las Vegas, Mark Kemp of Henderson and John Kemp of Springfield, Ore.; one daughter, Anne-Marie Kemp of Greenwood, S.C.; one sister, Nancy Holly of Henderson; and four grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Palm Chapel, Henderson. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Henderson.

Frances A. Kolar, 89, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born April 7, 1912, in Chicago. A resident for many years, she was a telephone company supervisor.
She is survived by one daughter, Janet Meyer of La Grange, Ill.

Antoinette Lahage
Antoinette Lahage, 82, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. A dealer, she was born Sept. 20, 1918, in Rhode Island.
She is survived by one sister, Anna Christopher of Connecticut.

William Matthew 'Matt' Nelson
William Matthew "Matt" Nelson, 28, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born June 12, 1972, in Ohio. A resident for three years, he was a computer programmer.
He is survived by his wife, Christine Westfall-Nelson, his parents, Lyn and Deborah; one brother, Charles Nelson; and one sister, Erika Vasquez, all of Las Vegas.
A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Friday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.
Charles R. Rocchio
Charles R. Rocchio, 80, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 7, 1921, in Rockvale, Colo. A resident for many years, he was a hotel owner.
He is survived by his wife, Anna.

Janis Whitely Ross
Janis Whitely Ross, 66, a member of the pioneer Bath family, died Friday at the University of California-San Francisco Hospital. She was born Sept. 29, 1934, to Wellesley and Martha Bath Whitely, in Susanville, Calif.
Janis' Whitely ancestors arrived in Eagle Valley with the Mormons and camped where the Capitol is now located and later founded the Bath Ranch. She is survived by her husband, John of Carson City and Las Vegas; two daughters, Marla Ann Ross of Portland, Ore., and Cynthia Ross of Reno; two sons, Thomas Whitely Ross of Las Vegas and John R. Ross of Washington, DC; and five nieces and one nephew, all members of the Paul D. Laxalt family.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Our Lady of Wisdom Catholic Church in Reno. A reception will follow at the Santa Fe hotel in Reno.
Thomas Edward Schick
Thomas Edward Schick, 69, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 20, 1932, in Santa Monica, Calif. A resident for 13 years, he was a retired Air Force major and Korean War veteran, past president of the Southern Nevada and Nevada State chapters of Sons of the American Revolution and a life member of the Retired Officers Association.
He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Ann; one daughter, Karen Schick Macagno of Las Vegas; one son, Thomas Andrew Schick of England; and five grandchildren.

Terry Schneider
Terry Schneider, 37, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 27, 1963, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, she was an Albertson's deli clerk for 10 years.
She is survived by her husband, Todd M.; two daughters, Kristy Jane Lee and Melinda Schneider, two sons, Gregory D. Lee and Eric Schneider, her parents, Dean and Linda Mays, one brother, Jerry Mays, two sisters, Shannon Gomez and Stacy Mays, and her grandmother, Agnes Sanchez, all of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Christ the King Church, 4925 S. Torrey Pines Drive. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.
Arthur James Wilson
Arthur James Wilson, 77, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospice. He was born March 22, 1924, in Seattle. A resident for 30 years, he was a retired manager in the automotive industry and a World War II Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Darlene; one son, Darrell Wilson of Paradise, Calif.; one sister, Dorothy Woods of Aberdeen, Wash.; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Buchanan Blvd., Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.
