Wiley Barnes
Wiley Barnes, 66, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. A mail carrier and Air Force veteran, he was born March 10, 1935, in Fairbanks, La.
He is survived by his wife, Irene; two sons, Wiley Trevon Barnes and Leland Stapleton, both of Las Vegas; three daughters, Carrie Barnes-Igondjo of Oakland, Calif., Monique Barnes-Bernardo of Antioch, Calif., and Michelle Stapleton Breaux of Las Vegas; one godson, Fred Washington of Los Angeles; two brothers; and eight grandchildren.
Services were scheduled at 11 a.m. today in Greater New Jerusalem Baptist Church, 1100 N. D St. Harrison-Ross Mortuaries, 2071 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Zeron 'Zee' Bell
Zeron "Zee" Bell, 83, of Henderson died Friday. He was born Jan. 16, 1918, in Goldfield. A resident for 73 years, he was a retired general contractor, a World War II Navy veteran and a lifetime member of Optimists International.
He is survived by his wife, Colleen; three daughters, Sharlee Bolding of Kingman, Ariz., and Karen Higgins and Daveen Montes, both of Las Vegas; one son, Wynn Bell of Las Vegas; two sisters, Wanda Lowe of Albuquerque, N.M., and Zaida Hanson of Yamhill, Ore.; 15 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 6 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Mary Lou Bonny
Mary Lou Bonny, 67, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born May 4, 1934, in Newport, Ky. A resident for 38 years, she was a retired school clerk, a member of Gideon's Auxiliary, Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, Classic Thunderbird Club, Country Cactus Cloggers and Stardusters Square Dancers.
She is survived by one daughter, Vicki Arnold, and two sons, Goebel Bonny and Greg Bonny, all of Las Vegas; one sister, Wilma Hurd of Newport, Ky.; and six grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 1 p.m. service Thursday in Central Christian Church, 3415 S. Mojave Road. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.
The family suggests donations to Gideons International Bible Association, P.O. Box 194, Las Vegas, NV 89125.
Asa A. Bron aka Brown
Asa A. Bron aka Brown, 78, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born March 6, 1923, in Waseca, Minn. A resident for many years, she was a hotel kitchen assistant and a World War II Navy veteran.
She is survived by one son, Wendell Pierre Brown of Los Angeles; and two grandchildren.

Peter Maurice Burton
Peter Maurice Burton, 71, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 4, 1929, in England. A resident for 30 years, he was a haberdasher for more than 20 years and was a longtime member of the Las Vegas SPCA.
He is survived by two sisters, Pam Garett and Hazel Bryant, and two brothers, Tony and David, all of England.
No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., is handling arrangements.
Jeffrey Canterbury
Jeffrey Canterbury, 21, of Henderson died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 18, 1979, in Jackson, Miss. A resident for 14 years, he was a service tech for a tire company.
He is survived by his mother, Deborah Halsey, one sister, Lorie Lamoreaux, and three brothers, Chris Canterbury, Derrick Canterbury and Jason Canterbury, all of Henderson; and his grandparents, Ray and Lettie McPherson of Santa Clara, Utah.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 1 p.m. services Wednesday in the Arrowhead LDS Chapel. Burial will be private. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
The family suggests donations to the general missionary fund of the LDS Church.
David E. Conover
David E. Conover, 70, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 6, 1930, in Whippany, N.J. A resident for seven years, he was a retired janitor, a Korean War Army veteran and a member of the American Legion.
He is survived by his wife, Charlotte; one daughter, Deborah Barnes of Hopatcong, N.J.; two sons, David M. Conover and Edward J. Conover, both of Las Vegas; one brother, Tom Conover of Seminole, Fla.; and 10 grandchildren.

Nicolaus Allen Contorno
Nicolaus Allen Contorno, 29, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. A resident for six years, he was born Aug. 14, 1971, in Euclid General, Ohio.
He is survived his mother, Joan Marie Contorno; two brothers, Benedetto Contorno and Edward Joseph Contorno; one sister, Theresa Ann Cook; and his grandmother, Stephie Daugherty.
A service will be 1 p.m. Thursday at the home of Nicolaus. Valley Memorial Crematory, 4855 W. Desert Inn Road, is handling arrangements.
Bruce Edward Daigh
Bruce Edward Daigh, 45, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 2, 1955, in Springfield, Ill. A resident for 30 years, he was a security officer and an Army veteran.
He is survived by his mother, Dolores Dimitt of Las Vegas; and one sister, Nancy McKinney of Taylorville, Ill.
Visitation is scheduled 4-8 p.m. Wednesday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd. Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
William John Duclo
William John Duclo, 62, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born March 23, 1939, in Michigan. A resident for nine years, he was a porter for Bally's for nine years and Ghirardelli Square in San Francisco for 18 years and was an Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Thelma; two daughters, Deborah Laatz of Las Vegas and Joyce Briones of San Jose, Calif.; his mother, Grace Novak of Flat Rock, Mich.; one brother, Robert Williams of Oak Ridge, Tenn.; one sister, Joyce McLaughlin of Indianapolis; and three grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 4-8 p.m. Wednesday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.
James Fitzgerald
James Fitzgerald, 66, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 2, 1935, in Las Vegas. A resident for 66 years, he was a retired Clark County Fire Department engineer for 26 years.
He is survived by his wife, Charlene; one daughter, Toni Perez, two sons, Gregory Fitzgerald and Michael Fitzgerald, and two sisters, Eileen Carson and Marilyn Johnson, all of Las Vegas; and nine grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 4-8 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Palm Chapel, Jones.
Daniel P. Gillon Jr.
Daniel P. Gillon Jr., 78, of Henderson died Friday in Henderson. He was born Oct. 17, 1922, in Garwood, N.J. A resident for 39 years, he was a retired elementary school teacher, a World War II and Korean War Marine Corps veteran, a member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars, was a 32nd degree Mason and member of Scottish Rite Bodies, Marine Corps League and Mount Moriah Henderson Masonic Lodge 39 F&AM.
He is survived by one daughter, Kathleen R. Pelas of Las Vegas; one son, William P. Gillon of Henderson; one brother, Arthur Gillon of Hamburg, N.Y.; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Sue Hanson
Sue Hanson, 84, of Henderson died Sunday in a local care center. She was born Dec. 10, 1916, in Orange City, Iowa. A resident for 20 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one daughter, Sharon Hester of Guerneville, Calif.; one son, David Hanson of Henderson; six grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 4 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
Stella Kemp
Stella Kemp, 70, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 20, 1930, in River Grove,Ill. A resident for 40 years, she was a retired teacher.
She is survived by three sons, Will Kemp of Las Vegas, Mark Kemp of Henderson and John Kemp of Springfield, Ore.; one daughter, Ann-Marie Kemp of Greenwood, S.C.; one sister, Nancy Holly of Henderson; and four grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Palm Chapel, Henderson. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Henderson.

Richard Marion Neighbarger
Richard Marion Neighbarger, 82, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 16, 1918, in Ohio. A resident for 28 years, he was a civil service employee, an Army captain and a World War II and Korean War veteran.
He is survived by one son, Richard Neighbarger of Tacoma, Wash.; one daughter, Lynda Neighbarger of Pomona, Calif.; one brother, Stanley J. Neighbarger of Lakewood, Calif.; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were scheduled at 10:30 a.m. today in Boulder City Cemetery. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, handled arrangements.
Louis A. Redo
Louis A. Redo, 86, of Henderson died Sunday in Henderson. He was born Sept. 28, 1914, in Canada. A resident for 37 years, he was a retired city government building inspector, a member of the Masonic Lodge in Boulder City and deputy chief of the Boulder City Police Reserves.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy E.

Joseph Ridolfino
Joseph Ridolfino, 67, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born March 23, 1934, in New Jersey. A resident for 47 years, he was a craps dealer.
He is survived by one son, Gary Kutch; three daughters, Janell Brown, JoAnne Germano and Gena Davis; his father, Ralph Ridolfino; his mother, Mary Pecora; four brothers, Dominic Ridolfino, Sonny Ridolfino, Nick Ridolfino and Danny Ridolfino; two sisters, Angelina Ridolfino and Mary Ahr; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation was scheduled one hour prior to a 3 p.m. service today in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Mass will be celebrated 9:15 a.m. Wednesday in St. Viator Catholic Church, 2461 E. Flamingo Road.
Judith Anne Carlson Rivers
Judith Anne Carlson Rivers, 64, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 28, 1937, in Oak Park, Ill. A resident for eight years, she was a retired Madison Elementary schoolteacher.
She is survived by her husband, George; one daughter, Alison Anne Rivers of Las Vegas; two brothers, Paul Carlson of Woodbridge, Va., and James Carlson of Regina, Saskatchewan; and one granddaughter.
No local services are scheduled. Neptune Society of Nevada, 8570 Del Webb Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Douglas K. Rothe
Douglas K. Rothe, 44, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 21, 1956, in Greeley, Colo. A lifelong resident, he was a driver for Grayline Tours Coach USA since age 16 and a Western High School graduate.
He is survived by his wife, Shannon; two sons, Ethan Rudd and Nolan Rudd, his parents, Don and Marie Rothe, one brother, Brian Rothe, and one sister, Pam Harris, all of Las Vegas.
A memorial service will be 6 p.m. Wednesday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North.
Alverta Shoemaker
Alverta Shoemaker, 80, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 16, 1920, in New Jersey. A resident for 27 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one daughter, Devy Shoemaker of Las Vegas; and one grandchild.

Alvin "Elvis" Stowers, of Searchlight died Sunday in Searchlight. He was born May 5, 1929, in Oklahoma City. A resident for 2 1/2 years, he was a retired crane operator in the construction industry.
He is survived by his wife, Marie; two daughters, Linda Stowers of Santa Ana, Calif., and Lynelle Long of Lake Worth, Fla.; one son, Darrell Wall of Phoenix; one brother, Calvin Stowers of Bellflower, Calif.; and four grandchildren.

William Thomas Sr., 80, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 10, 1920, in Houghton, Mich. A resident for 50 years, he was a retired owner of a dry cleaning establishment.
He is survived by two daughters, Ann Leavitt of Las Vegas and Pat Rachel of Wisconsin; four sons, William Thomas Jr., Rick Preciado, Randy Preciado and Allen Preciado, all of Las Vegas; 17 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Rita L. Tolentino
Rita L. Tolentino, 79, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local health care center. She was born May 22, 1922, in Manila, Philippines. A resident for 34 years, she was a retired casino cashier and a member of Sto Nino and Divine Will, both prayer groups.
She is survived by three daughters, Lydia Bambao, Sylvia Burnett and Cindy Walker, all of Las Vegas; three sons, Pacifico Tolentino Jr. and Roger Tolentino, both of Las Vegas, and Albert Tolentino of Jacksonville, Fla.; one sister, Lualhati Matibag of Manila; 19 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Guardian Angel Cathedral, 302 Cathedral Way. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park.
James Neff Wilson
James Neff Wilson, 80, of Las Vegas died May 27 in Las Vegas. He was born July 22, 1920, in Erie, Colo. A resident for 15 years, he was a geophysicist in the oil exploration industry, a member of SEG and School of Mines Alumni Association.
He is survived by one daughter, Judy Vanderhorst of Las Vegas; one son, Douglas Wilson, and one brother, Raymond Wilson, both of Colorado; and one granddaughter.
Services will be in Colorado. Valley Memorial Crematory, 4855 W. Desert Inn Road, is handling arrangements.
Gaylord Brooks Worst
Gaylord Brooks Worst, 84, of Nampa, Idaho, died Friday in a Nampa hospital. He was born Jan. 12, 1917, in Red Haw, Ohio. A former Las Vegas resident, he was a carpenter and building contractor and a graduate of Olivet Nazarene College in Illinois.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia; four daughters, Peggy Romanoski of Las Vegas, Janice Nelson of Ontario, Ore., Liz Salisbury of Nampa and Debra Robertson of Spokane, Wash.; one son, Paul Worst of Eagle Point, Ore.; one sister, Marjorie Higgins of Sun City, Ariz.; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
No local services are scheduled. Services and burial will be in Nampa. Alsip & Persons Funeral Chapel, Nampa, is handling arrangements.
Edna M. Yarosko
Edna M. Yarosko, 77, of Henderson died Friday in Henderson. She was born July 12, 1923, in Winnipeg, Manitoba. A resident for five years, she was a retired registered nurse and a member of Daughters of the British Empire.
She is survived by her husband, Paul; one daughter, Marilyn Erickson of Henderson; one son, Stephen Yarosko of Fullerton, Calif.; three sisters, Marg Rigby and Helen Stewart, both of Winnipeg, and Allan Walker and Jeane Shannon, both of Edmonton, Alberta; and two grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 130 N. Pecos Road, Henderson. Graveside services will follow at 11 a.m. Thursday in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.
