Recent gaming industry appointments and promotions:
Mike Coppert is vice president customer service and Reed Alewel is vice president sales at Acres Gaming.
Terry Downey is vice president and general manager of Boulder Station hotel-casino and Turk Cobell is director of hotel operations at Sunset Station. Carol Thompson is director of training for Station Casinos' East side properties. Shahla Mahmoud and Jeff Barney are team leaders of the year at Sunset Station hotel-casino.
Charles Anderer is vice president group publisher at GEM Communications.
Jeffrey Evora is manager of marketing analysis and Alan Rose is senior vice president of construction for Ameristar Casinos.
Mark Lipparelli is executive vice president at Shuffle Master Inc.
Glenda Zuhse is director of marketing at Sam's Town hotel-casino.
David Nichter is support services manager at the Stratosphere hotel-casino.
At the Maloof Companies and the Palms hotel-casino under construction in Las Vegas, David Mitchell is chief financial officer, Tonie Kerekes is director of finance, Laurie Gardner is director of sales and Andre Yves Portal is director of food and beverage.
Innovative Gaming Corporation of America said Loren A. Piel was named general counsel and that Rodney Hill joined subsidiary Innovative Gaming, Inc. as senior vice president of engineering.
