Raymond Alderete
Raymond Alderete, 70, of Henderson died Thursday in Henderson. He was born Nov. 4, 1930, in Flagstaff, Ariz. A resident for 18 years, he was a retired city government engineer and an Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Jona; two daughters, Charlene Alderete of Chicago and Dr. Kathleen Alderete-Seideman of Escondido, Calif.; one stepdaughter, Stacey Hinsley, and one stepson, Jeremy Kapella, both of Las Vegas; one brother, Alfred Alderete of Albuquerque, N.M.; three sisters, Amalia Alderete and Aurelia Alderete, both of Henderson, and Mary (Bea) Najera of Cottonwood, Ariz.; four grandchildren and one grandchild.
Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Gary J. Barnes
Gary J. Barnes, 42, of Las Vegas died Wednesday. He was born Nov. 30, 1958, in Kansas City, Kan. A resident for three years, he was a telephone technician for Sprint and a member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 396.
He is survived by his wife, Laurie; four sons, Joseph Barnes and Cruz Bautista, both of Kansas, Tommy Rozensky of Nevada and Christopher Rozensky of Oklahoma; one daughter, Lyndsy Rozensky of Nevada; his parents, Glenda and James Barnes of Kansas City; two sisters, Debbie Kramer of Washington state and Sheri Adsitt of Florida; and his grandfather, Nelis Lowe of Kansas City.
No local services are scheduled. Services and burial will be in Kansas City. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Ronald R. Barth
Ronald R. Barth, 71, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 12, 1929, in Illinois. A resident for many years, he was a retired superintendent of the Chicago Water Department.
He is survived by one daughter, Terese Flynn of Chicago.
No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Illinois. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Lynn Bentley
Lynn Bentley, 56, of Henderson died Tuesday in Henderson. She was born Aug. 25, 1944, in Houston. A resident for 26 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Rod; four daughters, Gina McLemore of Las Vegas, Donna Matherne of Houston and Kristi Bentley-Wright and Kelly Bentley, both of Henderson; one son, Steven Bentley of Biloxi, Miss.; her mother, Trudy Eilo of Henderson; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Crossroads Community Church, 6744 Spencer Ave. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Helen T. Clark
Helen T. Clark, 93, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 19, 1907, in New Jersey. A resident for 27 years, she was a teacher in New York state.
She is survived by one son, Lawrence Clark of Henderson; one brother, Robert Thompson of Connecticut; two sisters, Rita Dennis of Arizona and Ruth Clark of New York; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Ralph Paul Deluca
Ralph Paul Deluca, 67, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 2, 1933, in Pennsylvania. A resident for 40 years, he was a cab driver for Ace Cab Co. and an Army veteran.
He is survived by two brothers, Anthony Deluca of Lakeland, Fla., and Victor Deluca of Pennsylvania; and one sister, Deloris Deluca of Lakeland.

Ronald L. Denney
Ronald L. Denney, 60, of Las Vegas died May 25 in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 16, 1941. A resident for 31 years, he was a veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Marietta; two daughters, Marla Heinrich and Diane Criz, both of Las Vegas; one brother, Robert Denney of California; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 12:30 p.m. Saturday in Christian City Church, 9175 Las Vegas Blvd. South. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.
Guy H. Friedlaender
Guy H. Friedlaender, 40, of Newark, N.J., died Monday in Mexico. He was born Oct. 3, 1960, in Los Angeles. A former Las Vegas resident for 12 years, he was an administrative assistant.
He is survived by his father, Gary Friedlaender of Sweden; and his companion, Michael Farah of Newark.
Visitation is scheduled noon-2 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.
John Garcia
John Garcia, 60, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 20, 1940, in Denver. A resident for 12 years, he was an accountant and a Navy veteran.
He is survived by his parents, George and Barbara Garcia of Denver; four brothers, Frank Garcia of Claremont, Calif., Fortunato Garcia and Richard Lewis, both of Brea, Calif., and Charles Alvin of Denver; and two sisters, Veronica Garcia of Brea and Mary Jane Erlinda of Fort Collins, Colo.

Robert G. Giles
Robert G. Giles, 68, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 7, 1932, in Decatur, Ill. A resident for 21 years, he was a retired heavy equipment salesman and an Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara L.; one daughter, Karen Buckley, and one son, Michael G. Giles, both of Las Vegas; his mother, Mary Giles, and one sister, Jane Redding, both of Athens, Ala.; and four grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 6-8 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Additional visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 10 a.m. service Saturday in the LDS West Charleston chapel. Burial will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest.
Pearlie Gomes
Pearlie Gomes, 75, of Henderson died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born March 28, 1926, in Red Hill, Okla. A resident for six years, she was a retired supervisor in the canning industry.
She is survived by her husband, Henry D.; three daughters, Kathy Sneed of Henderson, Marilyn Miller of Grants Pass, Ore., and Carolyn Alford of Hanford, Calif.; one son, Jack Brizendine of Lincoln, Calif.; four sisters, Jewel Roland and Josie Nolan, both of Stigler, Okla., Bertie Dodson of Muskogee, Okla., and Faye Justice of Merced, Okla.; two brothers, Rufus Fuller and Bill Fuller, both of Keota, Okla.; 22 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 6-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Palm Chapel, Henderson. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Henderson.

Jose 'Pepino' Hechavarria Jr.
Jose "Pepino" Hechavarria Jr., 75, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 24, 1925, in Cuba. A resident for 35 years, he was a retired dealer.
He is survived by his wife, Blanca; five sons, Joe Hechavarria III of Nashua, N.H., Roy Hechavarria and Jesse Hechavarria, both of Boston, Raymond Hechavarria of Maryland and Glen Hechavarria of Las Vegas; one daughter, Sandra Chavez of Las Vegas; one sister, Lydia LaSalle of Miami; and 16 grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 1 p.m. until a 5 p.m. service Saturday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd.
Walter P. Hoskins
Walter P. Hoskins, 91, of Henderson died Tuesday in Henderson. A tailor, he was born May 1, 1910, in Maysville, Mo.
He is survived by one son, William Hoskins of Oregon.

Thomas L. Jobes
Thomas L. Jobes, 64, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born May 28, 1937, in St. Charlesville, Ohio. A resident for 16 years, he was a retired mechanic.
He is survived by one daughter, Cathy Sundin of Henderson; one son, Rodney Jobes of Hemet, Calif.; one sister, Gloria Zorbas of Anaheim, Calif.; one brother, Ronald Jobes of Huntington Beach, Calif.; and eight grandchildren.
Services will be 1 p.m. Sunday in Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson. Burial will be private.
William E. Kleiser Jr.
William E. Kleiser Jr., 38, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 1, 1962, in Cicero, Ill. A resident for four years, he was a meat cutter at the Las Vegas Hilton and a member of the Meat Cutters Union.
He is survived by his father, William E. Kleiser Sr.; his stepmother, Sheila Voy; two brothers, David and Steven; and one sister, Valerie Reeves.
Mass was scheduled at 11 a.m. today in St. Viator Catholic Church, 2461 E. Flamingo Road. Valley Memorial Crematory, 4855 W. Desert Inn Road, is handling arrangements.
Sarah Hawkins Lauer
Sarah Hawkins Lauer, 77, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local care center. She was born Sept. 23, 1923, in Wyoming. A resident for 60 years, she was a retired grocery checker, founder of Homesite Baptist Church and member and instructor of the Literacy Council of Las Vegas.
She is survived by two daughters, Ann Bishop of Martinez, Calif., and Susan Bolles of Springville, Utah; one son, Truman Hawkins of Las Vegas; two brothers, Lowell True of Tucson, Ariz., and Gene True of Caldwell, Idaho; and five grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 3 p.m. Sunday in Palm Chapel, Main. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park.

Louis Mormon Jr.
Louis Mormon Jr., 74, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 22, 1927, in New York. A resident for 38 years, he was a beautician, an Army veteran, a member of the Disabled American Veterans and American Legion.
He is survived by one brother, Patrick of San Jose, Calif.; and four sisters, Dee Mormon, Constantine Solazzo and Connie Mormon, all of Las Vegas, and Ellie Wright of Lansdale, Pa.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday in St. Viator Catholic Church, 2461 E. Flamingo Road. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Sarah Nelson, 94, of Las Vegas died May 6 in a local care center. She was born Dec. 5, 1906, in Belen, N.M. A resident for seven years, she was a private maid.
She is survived by one daughter, Lucille Sedillo; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Gertrude Nick
Gertrude Nick, 84, of Las Vegas died Wednesday. She was born Oct. 11, 1916, in Philadelphia. She was a resident for 37 years.
She is survived by two daughters, Victoria Norton Brown and Linda Spink, and two sons, Vincent Nick and Joseph Nick, all of Las Vegas; one brother, Leon Rovins of West Palm Beach, Fla.; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation is scheduled 30 minutes prior to a 2:30 p.m. service Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.

Joseph P. Oeland, 76, of Henderson died Wednesday in a local care center. He was born May 27, 1925, in Gainesville, N.C. A resident for two years, he was a retired superintendent in the construction industry and a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Glenna; two daughters, Jeannie Robles of Chatsworth, Calif., and Mary Ann Treese of Ohio; three stepdaughters, Melinda Murther and Kim Mayes, both of California, and Gina Cruz of Wisconsin; one son, Joseph Oeland, one brother, Bill Oeland, and one sister, Mary Ellen Hollerman, all of California; 20 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, William; one daughter, Kathleen Brennan of Las Vegas; three sons, William Padovese Jr. and David Padovese, both of Las Vegas, and Ricky Padovese of Henderson; one sister, Peggy Northrup of Phoenix; and 10 grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Duane; four sons, John, Jeremy, Jacob and Justin; two daughters, Theresa and Melissa; her parents, Ted and Ellen Whip of Kona, Hawaii; seven brothers, Rocky James, Ted and Tim, both of Alaska, Gary of Wyoming and Steven, Albert and Arnold; two sisters, Mary Westerhof of Grand Rapids, Mich., and Jeannie.

Alfred Ramos, 68, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local care center. He was born July 2, 1932, in Gary, Ind. A resident for 17 years, he was a Korean War Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Donna; two sons, Don and Valoree Ramos; one brother, Ronald Ramos; four sisters, Vera Martinez, Lydia Contrez, Marylou Shaffer and Connie Tinco; and three grandchildren.

Faustino Robles, 86, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. A farmer, he was born Feb. 15, 1914, in Mexico.
He is survived by his wife, Angela Hernandez Robles; three sons, Asuncion Robles, Laurencio Robles and Faustino Robles, three daughters, Agripina Robles, Camerina Robles and Maria Robles, three brothers, Julian Robles, Alberto Robles and Andres Robles, and one sister, Angela Robles, all of Las Vegas; 19 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Rosary will be noon-10 p.m. today in Harrison-Ross Mortuaries, 2071 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday in Harrison-Ross Mortuaries. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Keaton Taylor Urbano, of Henderson, died Sunday, her date of birth. She was born May 27, 2001, in a local hospital.
She is survived by her parents, Alayne and Isaac Urbano, and two sisters, Judith Urbano and Savannah Urbano, all of Henderson; and her grandparents, Sulema and Richard Silva of Hammond, Ind.

Dorothy Young
Dorothy Young, 82, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospice. She was born Dec. 26, 1918, in New York. A resident for 20 years, she was an eyeglass technician.
She is survived by two sons, Michael Young and Robert Young; one daughter, Roxanne Maruca; one sister, Doris Babcock; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
