Letter: ‘Price controls’ now ‘price caps’

The spin experts of both parties are calling talk-radio programs.
Mike Allen of the Washington Post reported on May 19 that Bush advisers expected a tough reception for the administration's energy plan. It happened. They were surprised by the negative coverage, particularly on network television.
Vice President Dick Cheney called Rush Limbaugh's radio program. He said the administration was confident in its ability to implement its energy policies. He denounced his critics as "people who don't have the knowledge or the guts to address us on the policy issues." He got no argument from Limbaugh. Some radio programs are biased. Limbaugh's is definitely one of them.
As for a new spin, when did price controls become price caps? Go figure. Does "price caps" sound better than "price controls?"
I wonder if some oil baron came up with this euphemistic bull? And why?
