Letter: Marketing not the 51s’ strong point

Friday, June 1, 2001 | 10:33 a.m.

OK, I have 51s season tickets. But say someone came into town and wanted to take the kids to a game. Where is the 51s information? Yellow pages? White pages? Websites? All I get is the stadium prices. No schedule.

Which monkey is in charge of marketing? I made an all-day project of finding 51s info. Except for the stupid ads in the paper, it was hopeless.

You take an out of town visitor, tell them there is a Dodger farm team playing here and let them try to find out where, without the newspaper.

And if you do find your way to the game, who wants to pay $4.50 for a beer, $4 for a hot dog, $4 for parking? Yep, live the Visa moment.
