Anna R. Allese
Anna R. Allese, 78, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born July 4, 1923, in Pennsylvania. A resident for 21 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by three daughters, Leona Gosney of Clearwater, Fla., and Mary Lou Torbica and Patricia Noonan, both of Las Vegas; one son, Patrick Allese of Weirton, W.Va.; one sister, Gloria Morgan of Baltimore; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 4-8 p.m. today in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.
Augustine E. Araujo
Augustine E. Araujo, 73, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 9, 1928, in Barstow, Calif. A resident for 12 years, he was a computer analyst.
He is survived by his companion, Patricia Araujo of Las Vegas; two sons, James Araujo and Thomas Araujo, both of California; and two daughters, Kathryn Hope Araujo of California and Dianna Sullivan of Las Vegas.
Services will be in San Diego. Neptune Society of Nevada, 8570 Del Webb Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Edgar C. Blankenship
Edgar C. Blankenship, 89, of Henderson died Saturday in Henderson. He was born April 9, 1912, in Atkins, Ark. A resident for 45 years, he was a retired maintenance painter for a chemical company.
He is survived by one son, Bob L. Blankenship of Henderson; one brother, Willard Blankenship of Atkins; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.

Catherine E. Breland
Catherine E. Breland, 64, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Sept. 13, 1936, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 10 years, she retired as a lieutenant colonel after 20 years of service in the Army.
She is survived by her husband, Marshall W.

Catherine DiMaggio
Catherine DiMaggio, 90, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 24, 1911, in Lawrence, Mass. A resident for 13 years, she was a retired seamstress in a clothing factory.
She is survived by one daughter, Carole; two sons, Robert DiMaggio and Thomas DiMaggio, both of Las Vegas; two sisters, Angelina Santangelo of Methuen, Mass., and Jennie Reina of West Palm Beach, Fla.; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Ronald Lee Earnest
Ronald Lee Earnest, 100, of Las Vegas died July 9 in Las Vegas. He was born June 3, 1901, in California. A resident for 29 years, he was a porter at the Texas hotel and an Air Force veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Margie; one son, Michael McGee; one daughter, Patricia Downey; and two grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Jerry Kenneth Heikke
Jerry Kenneth Heikke, 54, of Henderson died Saturday in Henderson. He was born March 13, 1947, in Minneapolis. A resident for 14 years, he was a hotel security officer.
He is survived by his wife, Mar Jean B.; two daughters, Lynn M. Heikke of Las Vegas and Leanne Pacini of Boulder City; one son, Jeffrey K. Heikke of St. Paul, Minn.; one sister, Susan Bauer, and one brother, Thomas Heikke, both of Minneapolis; and four grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday in Palm Chapel, Henderson.

John Leslie Ketchum
John Leslie Ketchum, 72, of Las Vegas died July 10 in Laughlin. He was born Dec. 6, 1928, in Chicago. A resident for five years, he was an auto parts runner for an automobile dealership and a Korean War Army veteran.
He is survived by one son, John W. Ketchum of California; two sisters, Patricia Swanson of Arizona and Marjorie Alwardt of California; and one grandchild.
Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., is arranging private services.
Rose Snider Kindred
Rose Snider Kindred, 81, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born July 29, 1920, in Texas. A lifelong resident, she was an inspector.
She is survived by her husband, William R.; and one daughter, Kathy Ralph of Las Vegas.
No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in California. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Lindsay Leavitt
Lindsay Leavitt, 73, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 23, 1928, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was a retired operating engineer, a licensed livestock dealer for 25 years, a Korean War Army veteran and a member of Operating Engineers Local 12 for 30 years.
He is survived by his wife, Carol; two daughters, Linette Blatney and Linda DuBarton, both of Bullhead City, Ariz.; one son, Jerry Leavitt of Logandale; three stepdaughters, Deborah Robinson, Natalie Bean and Cynthia Parker, and one stepson, Peter DiLeva, all of Las Vegas; two sisters, Noma Clark and Etta Cheeney, both of St. George, Utah; and 15 grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Additional visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 2 p.m. service Wednesday in the LDS Christy and Kell chapel, 1775 Christy Lane. Burial will follow at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Woodlawn Cemetery.
John R. Loyd
John R. Loyd, 72, of Henderson died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born May 28, 1929, in Russellville, Ark. A resident for 12 years, he was a retired Air Force chief master sergeant and Korean War and Vietnam War veteran, a member of the European Motorcycle Owners of Las Vegas, BS&L Breakfast Club of Las Vegas, Moto Guzzi Owners of America and the Air Force Sergeants Association.
He is survived by his wife, Lila; two daughters, Pamela Reichert and Bambi Lane, one son, Larry Loyd, and his mother, Anna Marie Dutcher, all of Las Vegas; one sister, Virginia Larsen of Blairsden, Calif.; and 11 grandchildren.

Irene Lucas, 74, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local care center. She was born Aug. 24, 1926, in Uniontown, Pa. A resident for 40 years, she was a retired secretary.
She is survived by her husband, John; three daughters, Cheryl Cruddace of Livermore, Calif., Janice Cary of Albany, Calif., and Candice Bennett of Las Vegas; one son, Robert Bennett of Reno; three sisters, Elvira O'Brien of San Diego, Ida Runac of Finleyville, Pa., and Joanne Dale of San Diego; two brothers, Albert Lucidi of New Orleans and James Lucidi of San Diego; and four grandchildren.

Eric L. Mulligan
Eric L. Mulligan, 42, of Henderson died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 1, 1958, in Reno. A resident for 23 years, he was a warehouse stocker.
He is survived by his mother, Beverly Mulligan of Henderson; and three brothers, Blake Mulligan of Las Vegas, Bret Mulligan of Portland, Ore., and Michael Mulligan of Henderson.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.

Eleanor B. Sell, 82, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local care center. She was born Aug. 27, 1918, in Hummelstown, Pa. A resident for nine years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one daughter, Cassandra Underwood and Albert Sell, both of Las Vegas.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Monday in the Reformation Lutheran Church, 580 E. St. Louis Ave. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Howard Lloyd Senor
Howard Lloyd Senor, 76, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospice. He was born Sept. 8, 1924, in Cleveland. A resident for 35 years, he was a retired owner-operator of a public relations and advertising firm.
He is survived by one daughter, Shelley Dunkle of Medina, Ohio; two sons, Scott Senor of Chatsworth, Calif., and Steven Senor of Menomonie, Wis.; one sister, Leeta Senor-Benson of Beachwood, Ohio; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 12:30 p.m. Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, , Boulder City. King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane, is handling arrangements.

Geneve 'Gene' Taylor
Geneve "Gene" Taylor, 82, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. She was born April 25, 1919, in Hope, Ark. A resident for 11 years, she was a retired cook on a tugboat.
She is survived by two sons, Susi Gillman of Las Vegas and Jan Ognibene of Conroe, Texas; two sons, Jimmy Taylor of French Settlement, La., and Donald Eugene Churchill of California; one brother, Odell Sudduth of Westminster, Calif.; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Robert Jon Vanzo, 66, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. A resident for three years, he was born March 22, 1935, in Indiana Harbor, Ind.
He is survived by one son, Timothy John Vanzo of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico; one daughter, Lisa Ann Scubelek of North Las Vegas; one sister, Virginia Nahod of Westville, Ind.; one brother, James Vanzo of Adrian, Mich.; and two grandchildren.

She is survived by her father, Earnest Donnavon of Colorado; her mother, Diane G. Overton, and one brother, Brian Lenhart, both of Las Vegas.
A memorial service will be 4 p.m. Thursday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will be private.
