28-year-old LV man slain
Metro Police homicide detectives are investigating the slaying of a 28-year-old man in a southwest Las Vegas apartment complex Monday night.
Police were called to the Silver Stream Apartments, 5701 W. Rochelle Ave., near Jones Boulevard and Flamingo Road, about 9:15 p.m.
The victim was found dead inside an apartment after an apparent dispute with another person in the apartment, Lt. Wayne Petersen said.
Police say a 40-year-old man believed to be a suspect in the homicide fled the scene before police arrived.
A 40-year-old man
was held in University Medical Center this morning for a psychiatric evaluation after he threatened suicide and his girlfriend's brother was killed during a struggle for a handgun.
