Letter: Shortchanged on tax rebate checks

The tax return is a laugh. The president says it's supposed to re-energize the country, but how do you do that on $16.95. That is what my son gets, and my daughter gets nothing. Also a friend of ours gets zero. I wonder how many received the full amount that they were led to believe they would receive.

We need another Roosevelt or Kennedy. Am I a Democrat? You better believe it, and I am getting to be a stronger one each day.
