Fire leaves about 30 without place to live

About 30 people were displaced after a fire raged through an apartment complex Sunday morning.
The fire started about 5:45 a.m. at the Bonanza Garden Apartments, 2751 E. Bonanza Road, and gutted one apartment and heavily damaged another, Las Vegas Fire Department spokesman Tim Szymanski said.
Damage was estimated at $80,000, and although only two units were seriously damaged in the fire, the entire eight-unit complex had to be evacuated, Szymanski said.
The fire started in an electric stove that was left on.
The American Red Cross is helping the apartment complex management with relocation.
