Las Vegas area fishing report

LAKE MEAD: Fishing pressure was moderate this week throughout the entire area.
Anglers continued to have success for striped bass at the Hemingway Wall. Shore anglers fishing with anchovies were also successful in landing catfish.
A few stripers were taken at Government Wash.
Fishing pressure in the Overton area picked up significantly. Anglers reported success for largemouth bass in both the Virgin and Muddy river arms. Stripers were landed around the buoys marking the boundary for the Wildlife Management Area. Catfish ranging from 2-4 pounds were caught in the Virgin River.
LAKE MOHAVE: Fishing pressure was moderate this week at Willow Beach and Cottonwood Cove.
Willow Beach anglers had success with several catching rainbow trout that averaged 11-12 inches.
Striper fishing continued to be good following the trout plant with anglers landing fish ranging from 12-20 inches. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is scheduled to stock rainbow trout at Willow Beach on Friday.
WAYNE E. KIRCH WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT AREA: Fishing pressure continued at a moderate pace.
Daytime temperatures returning to the 90-degree range saw a drop in the rainbow trout activity with only a few being landed. Anglers found more success for largemouth bass at Cold Springs, Haymeadow and Adams McGill reservoirs.
EAGLE VALLEY RESERVOIR: Fishing pressure was moderate with shore anglers continuing to have success catching rainbow trout that ranged from 10-12 inches.
ECHO CANYON: Fishing pressure increased and anglers reported continued success for small bass and crappie.
Shore anglers fishing from the dam continued to have success for rainbow trout in the 12-14 inch range.
UPPER PAHRANAGAT LAKE: Fishing pressure has been moderate.
Anglers have been successful landing largemouth bass that range from one half to one pound. Anglers are also landing bullhead catfish, crappie and blue gill.
