Letter: Bush drug plan insult to seniors
Wednesday, July 18, 2001 | 9:03 a.m.
I believe that the prescription plan initiated by President Bush is an insult to the intelligence of senior citizens. The tiny bit of money they save is so meager that I don't see how the senior citizens can still make ends meet.
I saw on television where an expert from college said that Bush stands for helping out the rich man, and does special favors and gives lavish gifts to the rich people.
The fact is 15 percent is definitely not enough of a discount to effectively help the senior citizens on the massive expense of prescription medications.
