Rebels receive just one Big Monday slot

Mondays won't be nearly as big during the Rebels' 2001-02 basketball season.

After playing four ESPN Big Monday games last season, UNLV is scheduled for only one this season, a Feb. 11 home game against Utah (9 p.m.).

The Rebels will make three other national TV appearances, all at home. On Saturday, Dec. 22, ESPN will show UNLV vs. Texas in the Las Vegas Showdown, while ABC will televise the Rebels against DePaul on Sunday, Feb. 3 (noon) and against BYU on Saturday, Feb. 9 (12:30 p.m.).

UNLV's other ESPN appearance, Jan. 12 at Utah, will be a regional telecast.

Mountain West teams are slated for 31 network games this season, according to the league TV schedule released Monday.
