Letter: Tired of paying for council’s sins
Tuesday, July 17, 2001 | 9:45 a.m.
How can a man, whose livelihood is loaning a few hundred bucks in many high-interest and pawn loans, forget about a $60,000 loan?
The city of Las Vegas is being sued. That's us gang. Our taxes will be used to fight this suit and pay the damages, if Councilmen Michael Mack and Larry Brown lose.
The "happiest mayor in the world" appointed Mack, but can't control the ethics around City Hall and cannot seem to protect our city's dollars from lawsuits. It's unfair that we end up paying for the City Council's many transgressions.
