Joint venture announced

Las Vegas-based Innovative Gaming Corp. of America announced it has formed a joint venture with GET (Gaming & Equipment Technology) Holdings, an Australia-based distributor of Internet-based gaming systems.
GET's system is designed to allow Internet casinos to screen visitors out from jurisdictions where such activity isn't allowed, including the United States. Under their joint venture, IGCA said the companies will work together to develop "products for the gaming industry" that combine this system with the computer operating system IGCA uses as the platform for its video-based gaming devices.
GET's system can be used for Internet casinos, but can also be used to create intranets that can link slot machines within a single casino or multiple casinos.
The companies will pursue independent projects with gaming licensees, but also hope to form strategic alliances with casino operators and gaming equipment manufacturers, IGCA said.
IGCA is a manufacturer and distributor of video-based slot machines and table games.
