Families need help to send kids to camp
Tuesday, July 17, 2001 | 8:15 a.m.
Parents with several children find it difficult to pay for such luxuries as summer camp. So they turn to the Sun Camp Fund for help.
A couple with five children is asking for assistance for two of their boys to go to camp.
A family of eight is asking for a campership for one of the sons. Although the parents work, their salaries don't stretch far enough for "extras."
Sometimes simple things, such as toasting marshmallows and singing around the campfire and spending time around camp counselors who are positive role models are the memories that a child will carry with her through the rest of her life.
By joining contributors to the Las Vegas Sun Camp Fund you are making a difference in a child's life.
