Airline moves in with American at McCarran

TWA, which has five flights a day to and from Las Vegas, has moved its operations to American Airlines' facilities at McCarran International Airport.
TWA, now a subsidiary of American, is in the process of integrating into the American Airlines system nationwide and part of the transition involved moving TWA's 50 full- and part-time Las Vegas employees to American's ticket counters and gates.
American operates from McCarran's D gates. TWA's five flights to and from St. Louis had departed from the A gates, but have been shifted to the D gates.
A spokeswoman for McCarran said since the volume of flights has remained the same during the transition, the airport will see no drop in revenues for landing fees and gate and counter space rentals. Debbie Millett also said the airport's Common Use Terminal Equipment computer system has enabled McCarran to move TWA with minimal disruption.
