SUN CAPITAL BUREAU
CARSON CITY -- The Nevada Supreme Court Wednesday temporarily suspended attorney Kenneth Hall in connection with a gross misdemeanor child abuse conviction.
The Southern Nevada Disciplinary Board of the State Bar petitioned the court to take the action to allow it time to investigate the case and recommend any punishment.
The court said Hall, of Clark County, was convicted of a serious crime that warranted temporary suspension as the disciplinary board held further hearings.
The conviction, said the court, was based on Hall's sexual activities with a woman -- who appeared to be a client -- in the presence of the woman's 3-year-old daughter. Hall secretly videotaped the incident.
The videotape is currently in the custody of the Supreme Court under seal. The tape will be returned to the state bar for use in formal disciplinary proceedings if Hall does not file a motion to set aside his suspension by Aug. 2.
The court also backed the recommendations of the Southern Nevada Disciplinary Board on the these lawyers:
