Liberato Aragon

Liberato Aragon, 68, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 20, 1932, in Gallina, N.M. A resident for 25 years, he was the owner of a maintenance service and was an Army veteran.

He was preceded in death by one son, Paul of Las Vegas.

He is survived by his wife, Bettie; five sons, Philip Aragon of Las Vegas, Ronald and Robert Aragon, both of New Mexico, John Weimann of California and Stan Wieman of Arizona; three daughters, Yolanda Cole of Colorado and Esther Brohner and Eleanor Scott, both of Arizona; one brother, Roger Aragon, and three sisters, Lena Woodward, Josie Hoyle and Tiopila Sanchez, all of New Mexico; 24 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 11 a.m. until noon services Wednesday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Burial will be 1:30 p.m. in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Edward Baker

Edward Baker of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born born Jan. 9, 1925, in Indianapolis. A resident for 20 years, he was the manager of a car dealership.

He is survived by his wife, Amelia; one son, Samy, and one daughter, Taby.

Services will be private. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, handled arrangements.

James Allen Churchill

James Allen Churchill, 69, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born June 30, 1932, in Mauston, Wis. A resident for 37 years, he was a retired fireman.

He is survived by his wife, Rose M.; one daughter, Vicki Wasserman, and two sons, Stephen Churchill and David Churchill, all of Las Vegas; two brothers, Peter Churchill of Milwaukee and Robert Churchill of Maryland; two sisters, Judith Appenzeller and Mary Kozlencer, both of Milwaukee; and three grandchildren.

Services were scheduled at 11 a.m. today in the LDS Lindell chapel, followed by burial in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd., handled arrangements.

Joseph R. Golisano

Joseph R. Golisano, 80, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 2, 1920, in Rochester, N.Y. A resident for 18 years, he was retired and was a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by one daughter, Lisa Fields; three sisters, Jennie Balliano and Gina Calabra, both of Las Vegas, and Mary DiMaria of Rochester; two brothers, Nat Golisano of Las Vegas and Charles Golisano of New York; and one grandchild, Nicole Fields of Henderson.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Neptune Society of Nevada, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, Building 5, is handling arrangements.

Robert J. Hayden

Robert J. Hayden, 59, of Las Vegas died July 2 in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 28, 1941, in Logansport, Ind. A resident for 13 years, he was a driver for Checker Cab Co., president of Heartstone Home Owners Association in Henderson and a member of the Indianapolis Masonic Lodge 669.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie; one daughter, Lora Richards of Goshen, Ohio; three brothers, Donald, Richard and Paul, all of Indiana; and one sister, Caroline Sue Perkins of Maryland.

Memorial services were held Saturday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Matthew Henderson

Matthew Henderson, 84, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 11, 1916, in Scotland. A resident for nine years, he was a retired print setter for a communication company, a volunteer at the Spring Mountain Library, and a 3rd Degree member of the Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by his wife, Grace.

A memorial service was scheduled at 10:30 a.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

Larry Hogan

Larry Hogan, 66, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born March 24, 1935, in Seattle. A resident for 27 years, he was an Army master sergeant and Vietnam War veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Kim; four sons, Bill Hogan of Pioche, Mike Hogan of Potomac Falls, Va., Joe Hogan of Oklahoma City and Peter Hogan of Henderson; two daughters, Suzy Costello of Henderson and Sandy Hogan of Las Vegas; one brother, Jerry Hogan of Crescent City, Calif.; 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. services Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Graveside services will be 12:30 p.m. Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., handled arrangements.

Irene H. Huff

Irene H. Huff, 78, of Las Vegas died June 30 in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 12, 1923, in Minnesota. A resident for 20 years, she was a foster grandparent and a teacher's aid.

She is survived by one son, Hollis Huff of Las Vegas; one daughter, Marcia Krystyniak of Oaklawn, Ill.; one sister, Christina Ballard of New Orleans; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be Thursday in First Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 301 S. Maryland Parkway. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Ella Virginia Ashby Johnson

Ella Virginia Asby Johnson, 81, of Las Vegas died July 3 in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 25, 1920, in Louisville, Ky. A longtime resident, she was a telephone operator.

She is survived by one stepdaughter, Kathy Warren of San Diego; three brothers, Kenneth Ashby and Larry Ashby, both of Louisville, and Norman Ashby of Fayetteville, N.C.; three sisters, Anita Twiss and Betty Gregory, both of Louisville, and Laverne Kincaid of Picayune, Miss.; and four grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. services Thursday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will be in Paradise Memorial Gardens.

Richard Joseph Mannie

Richard Joseph Mannie, 57, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 17, 1943, in Minneapolis. A resident for six years, he was a superintendent.

He is survived by his wife, Joanne; one daughter, Christina Delgado, one son, Vincent Mannie, and his mother, Margaret B. Mannie, all of Las Vegas; one sister, Marlys Nunneri of Canoga Park, Calif.; three brothers, James Mannie of Acton, Calif., Jerome Mannie of Palm Dale, Calif., and Charles Mannie of Las Vegas; and five grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Wednesday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Bunkers Chapel. Burial will be in Memory Gardens.

Barbara L. Nelson

Barbara L. Nelson, 71, of Henderson died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born Sept. 6, 1929, in Lewiston, Idaho. A resident for 28 years, she was a retired -casino change person.

She is survived by two sons, Peter Nelson and Mark Nelson, both of Henderson; her mother, Zella Haynes, and one brother, Jack Haynes, both of Cedar City, Utah; and two grandchildren.

Edith Louise Richardson-Smith

Edith Louise Richardson-Smith, 81, of Las Vegas died Sunday in North Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 25, 1920, in Nyssa Oregon. A resident for 60 years, she was self-employed.

She is survived by two daughters, Dorothy Berroyer and Rose Marie Richardson, and four sons, Richard "Ike" Richardson, David Guy Richardson, Gregory J. Smith and Delbert Lee Richardson, all of Las Vegas; two sisters, Alene Hammerschmidt and Barbara Hoffman, both of Oregon; two brothers, James Wilson of California and William W. Wilson of Oregon; and six grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Thursday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 1 p.m. Friday in Bunkers Chapel. Burial followed in Memory Gardens.

Anita Richau

Anita Richau, 85, of Las Vegas died July 3 in Las Vegas. She was born July 12, 1915, in New York. A resident for four years, she was a dress designer in the clothing industry.

She is survived by one son, JP Richau of Las Vegas; one brother, Michael Katen of Margate, Fla.; two sisters, Miki Urso of Norwalk, Conn., and Isabella Daddona of Stamford, Conn.; and two grandchildren.

Rose Mary Sabelis

Rose Mary Sabelis, 75, of Henderson died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born April 27, 1916, in Chicago Height, Ill. A resident for five years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters, Regina Birsa of Henderson and Shirley Alday of Palmdale, Calif.; two sons, Richard Sabelis of Simi Valley, Calif., and William Sabelis of Henderson; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Corinne Schulze

Corinne Schulze, 81, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Sept. 18, 1919, in Waite Park, Minn. A resident for 23 years, she was a retired cook for a food and beverage company.

She is survived by one daughter, Carol Ann Gaffney of Peoria, Ariz.; two sons, Steven J. Lavalley of Eau Claire, Wis., and Robert A. Schulze of Lakeville, Minn.; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

A graveside service will be 10 a.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Helen Scott

Helen Scott, 71, of Henderson died Friday in a local hospital. She was born June 21, 1930, in Gary, Ind. A resident for seven years, she was a retired payroll supervisor for a paper manufacturing company.

She is survived by her husband, Delbert; three sons, Alan Scott of Henderson and Eric Scott and Andre Scott, both of Inglewood, Calif.; two brothers, Thomas Greene of Columbus, Ohio, and Charles Greene of Gary; four sisters, Dorothy Clark and Carol Greene, both of Gary, Jacquline Williams of Michigan City, Ind., and Joann Harris of Columbus; and four grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 6 p.m. Wednesday in Zion United Methodist Church, 2108 N. Revere St. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Lavina Teems

Lavina Teems, 67, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 11, 1933, in Philadelphia. A resident for 27 years, she was a hotel cashier.

She is survived by her husband, Charles; one son, Michael Myers, and one daughter, Leeann Chuter, both of Las Vegas; three stepsons, Rodney and Kenneth, both of Las Vegas, and Robert of Florida; one stepdaughter, Patricia of Florida; three brothers, Thomas Smith of Kentucky, Davis Smith of Mexico and John Malloy of Philadelphia; one sister, Catherine Phillips of New Jersey; one grandchild and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be at a later date. Burial will be private. Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd., handled arrangements.

Jack R. Young

Jack R. Young, 69, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born May 28, 1932, in Bay City, Mich. A resident for 16 years, he was a retired hospital cafeteria manager and a member of the Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by his wife, Delores; three daughters, Mary Young of Nies, Mich., Kathleen Miller of Saginaw, Mich., and Beatrice Seehafer of Las Vegas; two sons, James Young of Oolteah, Tenn., and Michael Young of Las Vegas; two brothers, James Wilinski of Bay City, Mich., and Richard Wilinski of Las Vegas; and six grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in Our Lady of Las Vegas Catholic Church, 3050 Alta Drive. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., handled arrangements.
