UNLV sophomore receives national award
A local college sophomore received one of the 30 2001 National Federation of the Blind scholarships.
Adam Rushforth, business finance major at UNLV, was also awarded a trip to the group's annual convention in Philadelphia July 1-7.
"These men and women are impressive proof of our contention that, with determination and opportunity, blind people can and do live full and productive lives," Marc Maurer, the group's president, said.
