Forest Arden Bawden
Forest Arden Bawden, 81, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 17, 1919, in Murray, Utah. A resident for 55 years, he was the owner of Wilgar Glass Co. and a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Fidella; three sons, Leslie Bawden and Sterling Bawden, both of Las Vegas, and Barry Lynn Bawden of Lake Cormurant, Miss; two daughters, Ardella Tjaden of Las Vegas and Linda Black of Vancouver, Wash.; one sister, Wilma Rivers of Las Vegas; 19 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. Wednesday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday in LDS Sunnyview Ward at Gateway Road and Wyoming Avenue. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Fred Ellis Cope
Fred Ellis Cope, 76, of Las Vegas died June 22 in a local hospice. He was born July 11, 1924, in Los Angeles. A resident for 10 years, he was the owner and president of Western Funding, Inc., World War II Army veteran and a member of Boone County Masonic Lodge and the North American Land Sailing Association.
He is survived by his wife, Irene; one son, Dwight Cope of Henderson; two daughters, Renee and Janice, both of California; his mother, Ruth Cope of Boulder City; seven grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m.-2 p.m. July 14 at 3915 E. Patrick Lane. Nevada Funeral Service, 2983 Fremont St., handled arrangements.
The family suggests donations to the Nathan Adelson Hospice, 4141 S. Swenson St., Las Vegas, NV 89119.
Arthur L. Forbes
Arthur L. Forbes, 86, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born April 7, 1915, in Toronto. A resident for 15 years, he was a retired hotel manager and a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Mara of Las Vegas.
Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., handled arrangements.
The family suggests donations to the Nathan Adelson Hospice, 4141 S. Swenson St., Las Vegas, NV 89119.
Mary Jo Migliaccio
Mary Jo Migliaccio, 63, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 19, 1937, in Spanish Fork, Utah. A resident for 60 years, she was a law office clerk.
She is survived by one daughter, Allison Migliaccio of Long Beach; two sons, Lorin Migliaccio of Beaverton, Ore., and Richard Migliaccio of Las Vegas; her mother, Leona Simmons of Las Vegas; one sister, Melba Cichoski of Henderson; and two grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. and one hour prior to 10 a.m. services Tuesday in the LDS Tropicana Ward. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
Pearl Neiman
Pearl Neiman, 79, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. She was born May 31, 1922, in Trenton, N.J. A resident for one year, she was a retired restaurant hostess/cashier.
She is survived by her husband, Emanuel; one daughter, Lynne Henick, and one son, Robert West, both of Las Vegas; one sister, Sadie Palat of Trenton; and one grandchild.
Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in King David Memorial Chapel, 2697 Eldorado Lane. Burial will follow in King David Cemetery.
The family suggests donations to Temple Beth Am.
George Peter Van Galis
George Peter Van Galis, 67, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 6, 1933, in Chicago. A resident for 41 years, he was a warehouse foreman for Bonanza Distributing.
He is survived by his mother, Domna Van Galis, and one sister, Catherine Van Galis, both of Long Beach, Calif.; and two brothers, Gus P. Van Galis and Dan P. Van Galis, both of Las Vegas.
Private services were held. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., handled arrangements.
