Grace Lomagno Allen

Grace Lomagno Allen, 62, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born April 6, 1938, in Sicily. A resident for 38 years, she was a retired seamstress and costume designer for show costumes.

She is survived by one daughter, Maria Dlouhy, two sons, Guiseppe Lomagno and Giovanni Lomagno, and her mother, Teresa Buscerna, all of Las Vegas; one sister, Adele McAfee of Jackson, Wyo.; four brothers, Vincenzo Buscema of San Jose, Calif., Roy Buscema of Las Vegas, Raffaele Buscema of Crested Butte, Colo., and Robert Buscema of Denver; and four grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday in St. Christopher's Catholic Church, 1840 N. Bruce St. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Woodlawn Cemetery.

DeeAnn Bauman

DeeAnn Bauman, 61, of Henderson died Monday in a local hospice. She was born Sept. 6, 1939, in Levan, Utah. A resident for 48 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Hugh; one daughter, Jeanette Bauman of Las Vegas; two sons, Eugene Bauman of Rock Hill, S.C., and Gary Bauman of Henderson; three brothers, Larry Malmgren of Eugene, Ore., Clark Malmgren of Medford, Ore., and James Ballow of Salt Lake City; and two grandchildren.

Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling private arrangements.

Frank S. Bulicz

Frank S. Bulicz, 82, of Henderson died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born June 4, 1918, in Ludlow, Pa. A resident for 49 years, he was a retired trades supervisor for a chemical manufacturer, a World War II Army Air Corps veteran and a member of the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

He is survived by one daughter, Sheila Appleby of Templeton, Calif.; one son, Frank S. Bulicz of Las Vegas; one sister, Nell Nelson of Olean, N.Y.; one brother, Alex Bulicz of Lakewood, Calif.; and two grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 6-7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Louis Charles Bury, 47, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born May 10, 1953, in California. A resident for two years, he was a superintendent for a cardboard box manufacturer.

He is survived by his father, Ambrose Curtis Bury of Norwalk, Calif.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Costa Mesa, Calif. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Mildred Ellen Cox

Mildred Ellen Cox, 91, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a Lakewood, Calif., medical center. She was born Sept. 15, 1909, in Louisiana. A resident for 30 years, she was a retail sales representative for the May Company.

She is survived by three daughters, Faye Moore of Louisiana, Jane Shaner of California and Dara Fernandez of Las Vegas; one sister, Vera Hodapp of New Orleans; 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Friday in Woodlawn Cemetery. American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane, is handling arrangements.

Charles E. Febro

Charles E. Febro, 76, of Henderson died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born June 10, 1924, in Pensacola, Fla. A resident for six years, he was a retired aircraft maintenance worker and a World War II Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Trudy; one daughter, Janet Martinez of Miami; two sons, Charles E. Febro Jr. of Miramar, Fla., and Kevin L. Febro of Henderson; two sisters, Naomi Swindell of Pensacola and Elizabeth Febro of Davie, Fla.; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Javier A. Garcia-Vining

Javier A. Garcia-Vining, 21, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born March 9, 1979, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was a college student.

He is survived by his parents, Ernest D. Vining and Alma Garcia-Vining, and three half-sisters, Adriana Martindale, Elizabeth Holbrooke and Adelaide Vining, all of Las Vegas; two half-brothers, Ernest Vining Jr. of California and Jose Luis Vining of Las Vegas; and his grandfather, Ruben G. Garcia of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Palm Chapel, Main. Graveside services will follow at 11 a.m. Saturday in Woodlawn Cemetery. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Salvatore John Guli

Salvatore John Guli, 80, of Las Vegas died Monday in North Las Vegas. A resident for seven years, he was an aircraft purchasing agent and an Army veteran.

He is survived by one daughter, Linda Adrian, and one sister, Frances Buonoma, both of Las Vegas.

Services were scheduled at 11 a.m. today in Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson. Burial will be in Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, Calif.

Dorothy Hamilton

Dorothy Hamilton, 91, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local care center. She was born Aug. 18, 1909, in Eugene, Ore. A resident for 30 years, she was a retired manager of a business machine company and a member of the Newcomers Club.

She is survived by one niece, Patricia Bradbury of Modesto, Calif.

Visitation is scheduled 11 a.m.-noon Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Carl Davis Hinton

Carl Davis Hinton, 73, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 17, 1927, in Kentucky. A resident for 12 years, he was a maintenance worker for a dairy company and a World War II Navy veteran.

He is survived by one daughter, Carla Priebe of Henderson; one brother, Robert Hinton of Michigan City, Ind.; and two grandchildren.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Illinois. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

W.D. Hudson

W.D. Hudson, 67, of Las Vegas died Jan. 21 in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 18, 1933, in Oklahoma. A resident for 20 years, he was a bartender and a Korean War veteran.

He is survived by one daughter, Andrea Hudson; two brothers, Ronny Hudson and Jerry Hudson; and one grandchild.

Graveside services will be noon Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Donna May Hutchison

Donna May Hutchison, 64, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. A resident for several years, she was born July 20, 1936, in Akron, Ohio.

She is survived by two daughters, Yvonne Ragsdale of Bellingham, Wash., and Mary Ellen Cardenas of Las Vegas ; and one sister, Nancy Richards of Akron, Ohio.

Visitation was scheduled noon-4 p.m. today in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Bill Inouye

Bill Inouye, 54, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 26, 1946, in Salt Lake City. A resident for 41 years, he was a Caesars Palace computer operator for 27 years and a former coach in the Silver State girls soccer league.

He is survived by his wife, Gretchen; three daughters, Beth Inouye, Tori Inouye and Marina Pirosch, one son, Brent Pirosch, and his mother, Mary Inouye, all of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 5-8 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m.-noon Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Ethel Jordan

Ethel Jordan, 83, of Henderson died Monday in Henderson. She was born July 8, 1917, in North Carolina. A resident for one year, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Hilda Smith of Henderson; two sons, Bill Holland of Dudley, N.C., and Earl Holland of Raleigh, N.C.; one daughter, Janet Brockett of Arlington, Va.; seven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

Ill Shim Kerr

Ill Shim Kerr, 80, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 18, 1920, in Korea. A resident for 13 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Nikki Kottiath of Orange, Calif.; one sister, Pusim Morgan of Chester, Va.; and one grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. services Friday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Burial will follow in Eden Vale Mausoleum.

Loraine Barnum Leavitt

Loraine Barnum Leavitt, 61, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 31, 1939, in Mesquite. A lifelong resident, he was a truck driver for Nevada Ready Mix and a member of Teamsters Local 631.

He is survived by his companion, Beverly Telford of Las Vegas; six daughters, Kim Marie Rogers, Lori Anne Herbert and Robyn Denise Chapman-Leavitt, all of Las Vegas, Kay Lorraine Leavitt of Scottsdale, Ariz., Jill Lorraine Lane of Colorado and Brooke Nicole Russell of Tennessee; one son, Sean Burkhart Leavitt of Utah; six sisters, Erma Turnbaugh and Laila Lombard, both of Las Vegas, Velda Lou Richardson of Palm Springs, Calif., Agnes Corum of California and Susie Choate and Jayne Dehut, both of Oregon; three brothers, Arnold Leavitt of Las Vegas, Wayne Leavitt of Blue Diamond and Keith Leavitt of Oregon; 18 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Friday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Bunkers Chapel. Burial will be private.

Sam LeVine

Sam LeVine, 76, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born May 18, 1924, in Chicago. A resident for 22 years, he founded Your Place or Mine for Lunch in downtown Las Vegas.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Rita Solomon LeVine; one daughter, Edye of Las Vegas; five sons, Jack, Joseph and JJ, all of Las Vegas, Kenneth of Columbus, Ohio, and Arnold of Austin, Texas; one sister, Bess LeVine-Okun of New York; and four grandchildren.

A memorial service was scheduled at 11 a.m. today in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Friends may visit 5-9 p.m. today at 3049 Wrangler St. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Diana C. Lopez

Diana C. Lopez, 49, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born June 2, 1951, in El Salvador. A resident for many years, she was a Las Vegas Hilton kitchen assistant.

She is survived by one son, Luis Lopez, and one daughter, Andrea Anguiano, both of Las Vegas; one sister, Anna Maria Lopez of California; six brothers, Francisco Lopez, Jesus Lopez and Miguel Lopez, all of California, Pedro Lopez of North Carolina and Jose Lopez and Noe Lopez, both of El Salvador; and four grandchildren.

Mary Maffucci

Mary Maffucci, 89, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 19, 1911, in Italy. A resident for 10 years, she was a seamstress.

She is survived by one daughter, Antoinette Martone of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Services and burial will be in Queens, N.Y., under the arrangement of Casey Porrello Funeral Home.

Joe Marshall

Joe Marshall, 82, of North Las Vegas died Sunday in North Las Vegas. He was born April 4, 1918, in WaKeeney, Kan. A resident for 10 years, he was a retired park supervisor for the city of Santa Ana, Calif., a World War II and Korean War Marine Corps veteran, an honorary member of the North China Marine POW Association and the Las Vegas Marine Corps League.

Graveside services will be 9:30 a.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. A memorial service will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.

John McGrory

John McGrory, 63, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospice. He was born March 19, 1937, in Glasgow, Scotland. A resident for two years, he was a carpet installer in the motion picture industry for 40 years, an Army veteran and a member of International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees Local 44.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret; two sons, John McGrory of Stamford, Conn., and Alex McGrory of Las Vegas; his mother, Margaret I. McGrory, and one brother, Gerald McGrory, both of Montrose, Calif.; one sister, Irene Flatau of Glendale, Calif.; and five grandchildren.

Glenn J. Mercier

Glenn J. Mercier, 47, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born July 27, 1953, in Beverly, Mass. A resident for eight years, he was a government purchasing agent.

He is survived by his wife, Cathlyn A.; one daughter, Lisa M. Jones, one son, Glenn W. Mercier, and three sisters, Linda A. Mercier, Mary L. Mercier and Nancy C. Roy, all of Las Vegas; one brother, Emile J. Mercier of Danvers, Mass.; and two grandchildren.

Ruby N. Newman, 77, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 20, 1923, in Jefferson County, Tenn. A resident for 16 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Wilma Morgan of Las Vegas; one son, Wayne Newman of Lancaster, Calif.; two brothers, Curtis Patterson of Sevierville, Tenn., and L.P. Patterson of Hickory, N.C.; one sister, Edna Lovell of Dandridge, Tenn.; and three grandchildren.

Fred L. Reese

Fred L. Reese, 77, of North Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospice. He was born July 24, 1923, in Omaha, Neb. A resident for 36 years, he owned and operated a carpet installation business.

He is survived by his wife, Lorraine; two sons, Fritz Reese of Las Vegas and Sevyn Reese of Palmdale, Calif.; one daughter, Cappi Bates of Las Vegas; two brothers, Thomas Reese of Concord, Calif., and Charles Reese of Watsonville, Calif.; one sister, Betty Jane Smith of Portland, Ore.; and three grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 5 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

Linda Evans Rungo

Linda Evans Rungo, 52, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 31, 1948, in Washington state. A resident for 27 years, she was a hospitality printer and designer and also employed by Visiting Cities.com, an employee of the MGM Grand for more than 20 years and an activist in children's charities.

She is survived by three brothers, Kevin Hendrickson, Johnny Hendrickson and Terry Hendrickson, all of Washington state.

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will be private.

Gregorio Sanchez, 80, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born May 9, 1920, in Mexico. A resident for two years, he was a farmer.

He is survived by his wife, Carmen; six sons, Edgar Sanchez of Las Vegas, Ambiocio Sanchez, Eleazar Sanchez, Manuel Sanchez and Juventino Sanchez, all of Mexico, and Domingo Sanchez of California; two daughters, Sirenia Sanchez of Mexico and Minerva Sanchez of Las Vegas; and 40 grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 2:30-4:30 p.m. Wednesday in Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson. Burial will be in Mexico.

Velva G. Singer

Velva G. Singer, 80, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born June 16, 1920, in Ohio. A resident for nine years, she was a secretary for the Department of Motor Vehicles.

She is survived by one son, James.

Paz P. Storey

Paz P. Storey, 63, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 24, 1938, in the Philippines. A resident for 21 years, she was a keno writer at the Sahara hotel.

She is survived by four daughters, Rika Felonia, Eileen Felonia, Lovice Felonia and Melvyn Felonia, and three sons, Adolfo Felonia Jr., Serwin Felonia and Serwin Felonia II, all of Las Vegas; two sisters, Rita Tolentino of Las Vegas and Lualhati Matibag of the Philippines; and five grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today and 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Thursday and Friday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday in Our Lady of Las Vegas Catholic Church, 3050 Alta Drive. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road.

Emmitt Lee Taylor

Emmitt Lee Taylor, 41, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in North Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 5, 1959, in Sicily Island, La. A resident for 29 years, he was a hotel kitchen helper.

He is survived by one son, Michael Taylor of Las Vegas; one brother, Willie Humphrey of Saginaw, Mich.; and four sisters, Ruby Taylor and Jessie Humphrey, both of Las Vegas, Shirley Douglas of Sicily Island and Joann Humphrey of Los Angeles.

Visitation is scheduled 3-8 p.m. Thursday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Greater Faith Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Pedro Tejera-Castro, 57, of Las Vegas died Tuesday. He was born April 17, 1943, in Cuba. A resident for nine years, he was a retired hotel kitchen worker.

He is survived by his wife, Edit Albernas, one daughter, Judy Thaker, and one son, Pedro Tejera, all of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.

Doris F. Williams, 72, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Sept. 29, 1928, in Decatur, Texas. A resident for 24 years, she was a retired executive secretary.

She is survived by her husband, Roy; one daughter, Candi Chavez of Orange, Calif.; two sons, Tommy Williams of Bartow, Fla., and Robert Williams of Las Vegas; three brothers, Weldon Rich of Big Spring, Texas, Charley Rich of Canon City, Colo., and Jimmy Rich of Jefferson City, Mo.; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Mich Van Compernolle, 87, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 2, 1913, in Belgium. A resident for 20 years, he was a retired automotive dealer.

He is survived by his wife, Grace; one sister, Palmyre Terry of Rotonda West, Fla.; and two brothers, Remi Van Compernolle of Springer, N.M., and Robert A. Van Compernolle of Las Vegas.
