Letter: Accountability is key to education

So Nevada PTA President Brenda Kennedy doesn't like school vouchers, saying there's no accountability. There is no higher degree of accountability than knowing you won't have students unless the parents who pay for their education are pleased with your results.
Who would pay for an education they didn't feel was worth the financial sacrifice? And who would take the voucher money for a private school if they were happy with the education their child was receiving now?
As for her assertion that private schools are not required to test, and that if they test voluntarily they are not required to publish the results, how about it? A note to private schools: If you conduct student achievement tests, let the paper know how your students are doing. Let's see the results compared to the results in our public schools. I suspect it won't be the parents who pay for a private education who will be disappointed.
