Darryl K. Allen

Darryl K. Allen, 54, of North Las Vegas died Dec. 17 in North Las Vegas. He was born June 13, 1946. A resident for many years, he was a laborer in the construction industry and a Vietnam War Army veteran.

Graveside services were scheduled at 9:30 a.m. today in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, handled arrangements.

Elizabeth Benes

Elizabeth Benes, 77, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local health care center. She was born Oct. 4, 1923, in Hinsdale, Ill. A resident for five years, she was a retired secretary in the appliance industry.

She is survived by her husband, Robert; one daughter, Susan Cafaro of Escondido, Calif.; three sisters, Frances Deerinck, Ann Simonini and Kay Murphy, all of Hinsdale; and two grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in Palm Chapel, Cheyenne. Graveside services will follow in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Barry Browar

Barry Browar, 74, of Henderson died Monday in Henderson. He was born Aug. 4, 1926, in McDonald, Pa. A resident for 31 years, he was a hotel maitre d', a World War II Navy veteran and a member of Maitre D' and Captains Association.

He is survived by one daughter, Alison Browar Kasner of Henderson; one son, Scott Browar of Marietta, Ga.; one sister, Ida Tenor of Harrisburg, Pa.; and three grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Mary Ann Dial

Mary Ann Dial, 71, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 4, 1929, in Webster City, Iowa. A resident for 34 years, she was a retired hotel waitress.

She is survived by one son, Caleb Dial of Las Vegas; and two sisters, Katherine Johnson and June Ulrick, both of Webster.

A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Donald F. Dydell Jr.

Donald F. Dydell Jr., 46, of Las Vegas died Jan. 6 in Las Vegas. A cosmetologist, he was born Dec. 19, 1954, in Olathe, Kan.

He is survived by his mother, Barbara Cartwright of Olathe; and three sisters, Cheryl Stanford of Daytona Beach, Fla., Sylvia Stanford of Olathe and Melva Earl of Kansas City, Kan.

John Gosciniak

John Gosciniak, 82, of Las Vegas died Dec. 22 in Las Vegas. A laborer in the construction industry, he was born Jan. 3, 1918.

Robert Huntley

Robert Huntley, 69, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 17, 1931, in Los Angeles. A resident for six months, he was a retired sound and audio man in the entertainment industry, a Korean War Air Force veteran and a member of the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Association for 24 years.

He is survived by his companion, June Evans of Las Vegas; two sons, Steven Huntley of Pacific Palisades, Calif., and Scott Huntley of City of Orange, Calif.; one sister, Jean Soderstrom of Glendale, Calif.; and one granddaughter.

Michael Jordan Sr.

Michael Jordan Sr., 58, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 18, 1942, in Cleveland. A resident for 13 years, he was a retired automobile mechanic and a Marine Corps veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Ann; one daughter, Danielle Pina of Las Vegas; two sons, Michael Patrick Jordan Jr. of LaPorte, Ind., and Robert Jordan of Westville, Ind.; one sister, Robin Iler of Mira Loma, Calif.; three brothers, William Hartranft of Arizona, Russell Hartranft of Aurora, Minn., and James Jordan of Lewisburg, Tenn.; and eight grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 4 p.m. today at 4701 E. Washington Ave. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

Nina Keele

Nina Keele, 82, of Boulder City died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 15, 1918, in Bunkerville. A lifelong Southern Nevada resident, she was a homemaker, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars auxiliary and Sisters of Pythias.

She is survived by her husband, Cal L.; one daughter, Pauline Crose of Junction, Utah; five sons, Ed Mayes, Pete Mayes and Denny Mayes, all of Boulder City, Tom Mayes of Anaheim, Calif., and Marvin Mayes of San Juan Capistrano, Calif.; three sisters, Ann Kiehl of Vancouver, Wash., and Mary Putnam and Betty Perkins, both of Overton; three brothers, Phil Sprague of Overton, Wayne Sprague of Logandale and Leland Sprague of Las Vegas; 16 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 11 a.m. services Wednesday in the Buchanan LDS chapel, Boulder City. Graveside services will be 12:30 p.m. Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Dorothy Lefko, 86, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 6, 1914, in St. Joseph, Mo. A resident for two years, she was a retired preschool teacher and a member of the Sisterhood at Temple Beth Am and Hadassah.

She is survived by two sons, Arnold Lefko of Las Vegas and Jeffrey Lefko of Baltimore; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were scheduled at 3 p.m. today in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

LeRoy F. Legatzke

LeRoy F. Legatzke, 62, of North Las Vegas died Saturday. He was born Dec. 27, 1938, in Chicago. A resident for six years, he was an animal by-products broker and a member of the American Contract Bridge League.

He is survived by his wife, Rosanne; two sons, Paul Legatzke of Naperville, Ill., and Robert Legatzke of Waunakee, Wis.; two daughters, Laura Daeschler of Lombard, Ill., and Diane Hahn of South Elgin, Ill.; one brother, Lawrence Legatzke of St. Charles, Ill.; and eight grandchildren.

Eugene Arthur Nelson aka Eugene San Filippo

Eugene Arthur Nelson aka Eugene San Filippo, 62, of Las Vegas died Jan. 13 in a local hospital. A security officer and a Navy veteran, he was born Feb. 6, 1938, in New Jersey.

He is survived by three daughters, Candice San Filippo and Christina San Filippo, both of Bullhead City, Ariz., and Genalyn King of Iowa; three sisters, Gloria Dunlap and Beverly Wasdorp, both of Las Vegas and Dolores Timberlake of Portland, Ore.; and one brother, Sandy Nelson of Kansas City, Mo.

Bernard C. 'Buzz' Nolan

Bernard C. "Buzz" Nolan, 78, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 17, 1922, in Richland Center, Wis. A resident for 31 years, he was a curator emeritus at the Clark County Museum, a World War II, Korean War and Vietnam War Army veteran, a member of Los Angeles Harbor Lodge 332 in San Pedro, Calif., Scottish Rite Bodies, Roadrunner Shrine Club and American Legion Police Post 55 and member and greeter for the Zelzah Shrine Temple.

He is survived by his wife, Charlotte A.

Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. Friday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be noon Saturday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home. Burial will be in South Dakota.

Dorothy T. Renzi

Dorothy T. Renzi, 67, of Las Vegas died Jan. 18 in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 19, 1933, in Wilmington, Del. A resident for 37 years, she was a secretary in the banking industry.

She is survived by one son, David Renzi of Las Vegas; one brother, Harry Terranova, and one sister, Anne Hartnett, both of Wilmington.

Gaston Resch

Gaston Resch, 68, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born June 28, 1932, in Hesperange, Germany. A resident for many years, he was in the military.

He is survived by his wife, Katharina; and two sons, Christian Resch and Marc Resch, both of England.

Joseph J. Rohling

Joseph J. Rohling, 72, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born June 24, 1928, in St. Paul, Minn. A resident for six years, he was an engineer and an Army veteran.

He is survived by one daughter, Katherine Rohling of Seattle; one brother, Jim Rohling of Citrus Heights, Calif.; and two sisters, Betty Rohling of Minn., and Sister Margaret Rohling of Lacey, Wash.

Annie P. Romeo

Annie P. Romeo, 96, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local health care center. She was born Aug. 28, 1904, in Byrnedale, Pa. A resident for 33 years, she was a homemaker and a member of Daughters of Italy.

She is survived by two sons, Donald J. Romeo and Stephen Romeo, both of Las Vegas; one daughter, Cecelia Gammon of Panguitch, Utah; 18 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.

He is survived by one daughter, Linda Adrian, and one sister, Frances Buonoma, both of Las Vegas.

Robert J. Schloss Jr., 70, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 17, 1931, in New York. A resident for many years, he was a sanitation department supervisor.

He is survived by his wife, Genevieve.

The Rev. Stewart Schramko, CSV, 63, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born March 25, 1937, in Chicago. A resident for many years, he was a Viatorian priest, a teacher at Bishop Gorman High School, a priest at St. Viator Catholic Church and an associate pastor at Guardian Angel Cathedral.

Hazel V. Treichel, 80, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. She was born Dec. 30, 1920, in Bethel, Okla. A resident for 30 years, she was a retired waitress/cook.

She was preceded in death by one son, James D. Williams on Jan. 14.

She is survived by four daughters, Mary Sue Fletcher and Irene Shelly, both of Las Vegas, Mildred Cunningham of Spokane and Geraldine Newman of Seattle; one sister, Lois Hutcherson of Augusta, Ga.; nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

He is survived by two daughters, Tammy Wilson and Sherry Wilson, both of Las Vegas; one son, Vernon Wilson of Overland Park, Kan.; five sisters; and three brothers.
