MWC honors Rebels’ Jermaine Lewis

UNLV junior guard Jermaine Lewis was named Mountain West men's basketball player of the week Monday after making 10-of-19 3-pointers in a three-game span.
Lewis averaged 17.7 points, 3.7 rebounds and three steals while helping the Rebels to a 2-1 record last week, including MWC wins over New Mexico and San Diego State. He shot 21-of-37 from the field (56.8 percent).
The Rebels (12-8, 3-2) return to action at noon Saturday at Colorado State, then head to Wyoming for a 9 p.m. Big Monday game.
